CHAPTER 1~

She awoke, shuddering. Her deep azure eyes flew open. The sound replayed in her mind.

The noise of glass shattering and landing on the solid ground in tiny particles.

Camille pressed her palms against her ears as she let out a soft groan.

Why do I wake up to that horrible sound every morning?

She silently asked herself.

The girl kicked off her blankets from where she lay pressed against the wall.

She crawled to the edge of her bed and sat up.

Camille looked down at her tangled brunette hair that passed her shoulders.

She glanced at the clock and read 7:30.

"School!" She gasped, slapping a hand to her fore-head.

Camille lunged out of bed.

She fixed her hair and got dressed into a pair of skinny jeans with a loose checkered long sleeved shirt.  There was something strange about her room.

Maybe the fact that there were no mirrors in sight.

Camille sighed and swung open the door.

She took a glance down at the clock on her phone. 8:15.

School started at 8:30. Camille stepped out the door. She kept her head down, avoiding the mirror she passed as she walked down the hall. Something about it made her feel uncomfortable.

After breakfast, she slipped on her shoes and walked out the front door.

"It's now 8:28.." She murmured to herself as she spotted an alley.

Camille raced down the alley, it brought her to the front of the school.

She ran to the door, grabbed the handle, and yanked it toward her.

Camille growled in frustration. Before realizing that she was supposed to push, not pull.

The 16 year old walked through the door and went to class.

At the end of school, Camille decided to stay back and work on an art project.

After an hour or two passed, she checked the time. "Shit!" She cursed and mumbled something under her breath, 4:51 PM.

"I was supposed to be home an hour ago." She said as she headed to the front of the school and pushed the door open. Outside was dark. "But it's only 4:55.." Camille blinked, but shrugged off the thought. She frowned and decided to take the alley. It was quicker.

As Camille was walking she heard an awful sound behind her. She spun around and saw a mirror smashed into pieces on the ground. Camille narrowed her eyes and jogged the rest of the way home.

When she reached the hall, Camille stopped just before reaching the mirror in the hall. She stopped in front of it and glanced into the reflection. Surprisingly, a different face was looking back at her. Camille's eyes widened. She stared into the deep crimson gaze of a girl in front of her.

She had charcoal black hair that went down to her waist.

"Who are you..?" Camille asked as she narrowed her blue orbs. The girl in the mirror's lips moved but no sound came out.

There was suddenly a look of horror on her face, and she pointed toward Camille.

Camille screamed as her face was smashed forward into the glass. It shattered into tiny fragments. She closed her eyes as chips of the mirror entered the skin on her face.

Camille's heart raced, someone or something had their large hands crushed down on her shoulders.

She was forced to her knees. The girl thrashed and screamed in fright. Pieces of the glass sliced into her knees and palms. The weight from her shoulers vanished and she managed to slowly open her eyes.

Camille was looking down at the chips of the mirror on the ground below her. She only got a glance before something hit her hard in the back of the head and everything went black.

She felt herself fall to the floor, shards of glass stabbed into her stomach.

She let out a groan before the pain drifted away and all feeling left her body. Camille fell un-continuous.
