The Forgotten Aztec Temples

Chapter 1: Meet the Teens

Hey guys... First chapter, hope you enjoy it may not be the best but it's the first book I've written, but it will get better! Here we go...

It was Monday, the worst day of the the week... Well one week left until the school break begins.
"Oi Adam!", I hear someone call from behind, I zipp around to find it was was my friend James. "Hey James." I called out to him over the sound of passing teenagers.

We started walking off to our first lesson of the day... It's Geography now, my favorite lesson, reason being, me and my group of friends were all adventures, we explored anything, from caves to mountains, anything that was adventurous, well anyways, so the lesson started. "Today class we are going to learn of the extinct race called the Aztecs, and their temples and of the 'magic' that they used.", said Mr Smith. Yay magic and voodoo how interesting. I thought to myself sarcastically.

"It is thought to be that inside one of the mysterious Aztec temples there is an hidden portal that leads to some unknown world, we get this information from some form of hieroglyphic writings in the caves around the temples, although no..." He paused as Devon, my friend, butted in and said,"Has anyone ever gotten into one of these temples sir." Devon asked, "I was about to say that before you butted in, now where was I... Oh yes, although no one has ever gotten into one of the temples..." He gave a stare at Devon,"because no one has found a way into the temple. But we do know that there is a hidden entrance somewhere around the temples, but we just can't find it."
Hmm now this is interesting... I wonder...
YES, school is out for the day!

I was about to go to eat lunch at the cafeteria when all of a sudden I got pounced on by someone, and fell,and hit my hit my head, on paving.
Yeah it hurts by the way... It feels like one of those cartoons when they grow an awfully long bump on your head, anyways.

I stood back up and saw Leigh, she was giving me
the-I'm-so-sorry-I-almost-killed-you stare. "Sorry it wasn't meant to be that hard, I just wanted to scare you." I looked at her the problem was I saw three of her, "Adam?!" "Yeah I'm fine just a bit dizzy, that was a hard hit, I'm sure Devon will be put to shame if he saw that!"

She came closer and put her hand on my head, "Yup there's a bump." She said trying to hold back her giggle. "Haha very funny, thanks for making me feel better." I said sarcastically.
"No problem, my speciality." She said giving me a hug.

Leigh and I went to the cafeteria and got ourselves some chicken burgers, and boy were they good! We also got to the waffle maker and then got chocolate flavored milk! 

After that we went to go look for James, another one of our friends, we knew he would be at the the gym, he always goes there every day. We found him bench pressing, "Should I go scare him..." "No!" I replied instantly, "One bump is enough!"

She started to laugh, and I couldn't help but join her, James saw us laughing like two idiots and came over to greet us,"Hey guys, how you guys..." He stopped his sentence and looked at the top of my forehead, "If I may ask what happen..." He started to giggle. I gave a look at at Leigh and said "Her." He looked at Leigh and asked "What did you do now." "I didn't do anything..." I swear I could have seen a golden halo around her head! "Well since she's not going to explain I might as well," I was prepared to get laughed at by James "She tackled me..." He fell to the floor and was hosing himself, Leigh also started laughing with and I stood there like s tree in the middle of a dessert...

I decided to leave them to there laughing and go check up on Thomas at the engineering class, while I was walking I saw a group of girls dressed in green uniforms with weird hats and badges all over the shirts, I realized it was the girls scouts, they had just ended there practice and so I went to go say hello to Jess, another friend, I know, anyways she came up to me and said hey, but as I had suspected, she looked at the top of my fore head, all I said was "Leigh" and she started to giggle, it's never gonna get old is it!

I asked to walk with me to the engineering class, she accepted and we started walking, we came in and saw Tom sawing off a whole door and then shoving on to heck knows what, I went over to him while he was holding the pipe which he was using to hold the thing down, I tapped him on the shoulder... And it turns out he is very frightful, he swung around with the pipe... And yes, it hit my head...

I fell down to the ground clenching my fore head, this day couldn't get any worse could it! He quickly helped me up and said sorry more times than I could imagine, I stopped him before he got to infinity... "Tom! Tom! It's ok, it's just another bump!" Sadly this one was on the left side, so now I was a little devil, thanks! "Sorry Adam! I just got a fright!" "I can tell." I said.

I called Leigh and James over my phone and told them to meet me at the cafeteria, so there I was with two horns on my head, waiting to see the reaction of Leigh and James...

They came strolling up the paving and when they were about a handshake away, they fell to the floor, once again, thanks Tom and Leigh. Anyways, we all said goodbye and headed towards our hostel.
