I looked up and realised I was nearly at my stop.
Standing up and ringing the bell, the bus suddenly lurched causing me to fly across the aisle into a double seat, and my face to jam against the window.
From my uncomfortable position I saw something kinda weird, kinda strange, and kinda scary.

I saw...Sean.
Stepping off the bus I'd missed, turning the precise corner which led to the route to my house.
As I stumbled down the bus' stairs, my mind raced over why Sean would be on that bus, let alone walking to my road.
He must be visiting someone who lives near me, I surmised.
That was the only logical explanation.
Still, I had an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach, not unlike the one I'd felt after Roxanne's white-hot glare.
I stepped off the bus, turned the corner and began to walk down the long road which led to my house.
About halfway down, after straightening up, from ducking under a low hanging tree, I froze.
Why could I see a familiar head of sandy blonde hair, attached to a body clad in my school's male blazer??
To get to any of the other houses along this road, you had to take the left I'd just passed.
At the end of this road there were only three houses; mine, Mrs Bloomington's (who never left the house and had dementia), and the one which had been for sale the whole time I'd lived in my house, but had never been bought because it had a rat problem in the cellar which no-one seemed to be able to get rid of.
Sean would have no reason to go to either of the other houses, which must have meant...
Gasping, and shrinking behind the nearest hedge, I sank to the ground in shock.
Sean was walking the exact route to my house, the same one we'd walked when he came over, when we were going out!
I frantically tore my phone from my blazer, in the hope to call my mother, the police, anyone, but my heart dropped at the words low battery, turning off.
