The Other Side

Chapter 12~First Kiss

  I slowly wiped the kitchen counter while Kyle was sweeping the floor. This sucked. Everyone else went on a vacation and me and Kyle have to stay here and clean. I don't understand how were grounded. Just because Kyle said Melody was 'Head Mistress' just because she was the first of the big six to arrive in Extendra.

    I was casually washing the dishes and then Kyle's head popped up.

"Go get rubber bands." he said with a straight face.

"Wait, wh-" "

"Just do it!" he laughed. I ran up and did as he said, he put towels on my feet and used the rubber band to tie them on my ankles, he did the same on his.

We moved to the ball room. I looked at the list, "Polish ball room." of coarse they tell us to clean the biggest room in the castle but, I had a feeling we were gonna have fun.

"May I have this dance?" Kyle bowed down and held out his hand.

"Well, it would be my honour." as I took his hand. We danced through the halls and used a broom stick as a microphone and turned the radio on full blast. I couldn't dance. To be honest, neither could Kyle, but he knew that. We sang and danced our hearts out.

   When we finally finished cleaning the whole place in one day, we had 6 more days till they came back.  I don't know what to do. The consoles broken, by someone that got me stuck here. They took out the cable for the week, so no TV, we already ate, and we didn't want to do anything.

   "Movies?" Kyle said punching a dummy.

"Sure." I shrugged my shoulders. When we got to the movies Aiden was there.

   "Sup." Aiden lightly elbowed me in the shoulder. "

"Nothin much I guess."

"Hey lets get popcorn." Kyle gestured to the stand, I waved back at Aiden, and we stood in line.

Kyle crossed his arms, "Somethings fishy about Aiden." as he glared at Aiden.

   "He's fine." I nudged him on the shoulder. Aiden was Alex's and Violet's friend, so he was my friend to.

"We will get a large popcorn and two large drinks." he told the worker.

"Oh, and candy!" I giggled.

"That too." he laughed.

    We sat down, "What are we watching?"

"I think it's a uh..." he crunched on popcorn.  My curiosity took the best of me, "A romance movie, comedy, horror movie?!"

    "It's a movie about a girl who's boyfriend died and she needed help, because she closed herself out of the world, and tries to find another true love." I blushed because he knew I loved these kind of movies, drama and full of love.

    I reached for the popcorn and so did Kyle we touched hand then he grasped onto mine. We held hands for about ten seconds then we both let go.

    At the end of the movie where Jessica  and Max were sitting on the edge of a cliff I said, "This was a great movie, and-" before I was finished I was interrupted by Kyle's lips. KYLE'S LIPS ARE ON MINE. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. KYLE IS MAKING OUT WITH ME. My eyes widened, he kissed me for like a minuet to two minuets until I pushed him off when I realised this was real life.

    I stood up right when the movie ended, "Kyle!" I screamed.

"What?" he said in shock. Then I realised he kissed me from the left, but he sat on the right, I glanced over to the left and there was Aiden.
