Chapter 10

Diggy's POV

*Three months later- June*

We were getting pretty serious yet had not made it official. I wanted to so bad but it was hard to make that type of commitment with someone like her. Right now she was off in Japan and I missed her so much. I decided to hit up the studio to get my mind off of her.

Spin: "Yo! Young God is in the building!"

Diggy: "What's up Spin?"

Spin: "Nothing. What's up with you? Ain't heard from you too much since you started messing with Princess Blake."

Diggy: "Now you sound like Roger."

Spin: "Well it's true. She got you sprung."

Diggy: "Naw she don't."

Spin: "Yeah, okay. Heard she ain't giving it up either. How are you coping," he asked laughing.

Diggy: "Shut up. I don't need sex to be happy."

Spin: "Naw you scared as shit. That's what you get."

Diggy: "I am not scared. I just don't want to mess up with this one. She's not like them hoes I use to mess with."

Spin: "You met her folks yet?"

Diggy: " Naw not really. We're having dinner this weekend though."

Spin: "Nervous?"

Diggy: "Hell yeah!"

Spin started laughing.

Spin: "Good luck."

Yup I was nervous as hell because I knew how a family like hers operated. That first meeting was everything. You mess that up, you might as well say your goodbyes then.

I left the studio around 1 am and headed home. After a quick shower, I just laid in bed scrolling through instagram until I saw a post from Yn. It was a picture of us hugging but we were looking away from the camera.

Her caption: "Missing you so much ❤️"

It made me smile even though we aren't really together, her thinking of me was enough. I liked the post. I decided to browse her page and for a low key person, she sure had a lot of followers. She had 1.4 million followers but was only following 210 and she didn't have many pictures. Most of her pictures were of her or her friends. She had a few videos too and I decided to check them out. They were of her winning volleyball games, track meets, dance competitions, etc. Obviously she was a dope athlete since birth but what really stopped me was her singing. She was singing Like I'm Going To Lose You by Meghan Trainor and John Legend but she was singing it with non other than Michael. Her part was amazing, something I didn't know about her. I swear this girl surprises me everyday.

I woke up and decided to go hoop with Roger and Rus. We were just shooting when a group of girls walked by.

Roger: "Yo. You see that?"

Rus: "The one in the skirt is bad."

They were already looking hard at us so it wasn't hard for Roger to get them to come over to us.
