60 hours. that's how long they have to engage in a kiss. it seems impossible but michael and luke got up to 12 hours.

the plan is to do it in front of the whole school so everyone can see it's okay for two boys to kiss. this was all michael's idea and luke loved it so much.

michael wanted to go to luke's house but not to practice. they barely speak words to each other now. even as friends, was this normal?

well people wouldn't break weird ass world records on a daily basis.

michael texted him after thinking it through,

michael: hey i'm coming over but not for the usual reason

luke: yeah okay that's cool see you soon

michael smiled instantly after he read the text. he got ready and went down to tell his parents he's going out. michael's parents don't know anything about what he does. they just think he's hanging out at the mall with some friends.

michael has always been waiting for the perfect time to tell his parents and the kiss that's coming and will probably heard about all through town won't help.

he heads out to luke's place with his car, when he gets there he finds luke's mom and they have the same conversation almost everyday.

she says, "hey michael! how are you? is luke okay? he won't come out of his room." michael repeats himself everyday. "i'm great thank you for asking, and luke's good from what i know."

she smiles and nods. "well you and luke should probably get ready for the big day. i'm so proud of you two." michael returns the smile and replies, "not today i don't think i'll be here that long."

he quickly goes to luke's room and luke is doing the obvious listening to his music with headphones way too loud.

luke turns his attention to the boy who's standing in the doorway. "hey michael what's up?"

"i just want us to have a day off from this. you're always with me but im missing you in all honesty." he paused. "let's go out tonight like we used to."

luke understood everything and got happy instantly. "okay only if you're driving" he said to him luke walks past michael quickly which left michael to end up laughing and following luke.

luke sits shotgun obviously and michael drives. michael had this all planned out in his head. there's a carnival open in town it'll be fun to go. like, there's no romance in a carnival so that's the best part.

michael pulls up into the parking and luke says, "oh my god i have been planning to come here you're so great thank you thank you thank you."

michael chuckles and gets out of the car. when they get there luke goes to play balloon darts. he makes each and everyone which causes him to get a prize. he ends up getting a huge teddy bear which he gives to michael.

after playing games and riding a few rides the boys decide to head home. they walk back to the car and michael puts the teddy bear in the backseat and returns to the driver's seat. luke ends up sitting the backseat with the bear.

"why the hell are you sitting in the back you're not a toddler" michael asked sorta laughing. luke shrugged and said, "the teddy bear needs company and you don't."

michael rolled his eyes and said, "you are so weird i don't understand." luke smiled, "hey michael can i tell you a secret?" michael looked confused, he's so close to luke he'll know if he's being serious or not but this was just confusing.

"of course luke."

"you need to come close so i can whisper it."

"the only other person here is the big ass stuffed bear."

"please."

michael gave in and leaned forward him. luke pressed his lips onto michael's which caught him off guard. michael was thinking so many things. was this practice? oh no he's about to use tongue this isn't practice.

it's true luke wanted michael so badly in that moment but he knew it's wrong considering they broke up. but luke didn't mind it when michael came onto his lap.

you probably think the two would get tired of each other's lips but honestly several hours are not enough. michael's fingers were running up and down luke's sides under his shirt. they were too close to stop any of it now.

but michael realized they weren't together anymore and was about to stop. but he loved luke so much he kept going. maybe this was luke's way of saying i want you back.

luke was the first to pull away getting his hands off of michael's waist. "oh wow i missed doing that" luke said awkwardly.

michael's mind just processed what happened. "yeah thank you for that though" michael was in a weird position in his car, he carefully got up to the driver's seat. "luke are you seriously going to keep sitting with the bear."

luke noticed michael changed the subject. luke knew michael well enough to know when he changes the subject it means he feels awkward. luke felt awkward too but he wanted to talk to michael about it.

the whole car ride was in silence as michael dropped luke off at his house. "thanks michael i had so much fun" luke said giving him a small peck on the lips which michael returned in reply. "bye luke have a good night."

michael was so stupid. is luke playing him? is he too in to it he's not noticing it? michael thinks in silence rolling his eyes at himself as he returned home.

this caused michael to overthink everything and luke was the one to blame.
