Chapter One

Dustin P.O.V

*BEEP BEEP BEEP* Went my alarm that I had set up. I moved my hand trying to find the damn snooze button. When I finally found it I slammed my hand on it and lifted my head to look at the time. Why... I mean seriously why do I have to get up at six in the god damn morning when classes don't even start until 8:05. I gave a big sigh and got up out off bed. I stretched and as I did my back popped which feels good in the morning. I walked over to the bathroom and turn on the water and waited till it warmed up. Oh I didn't introduce myself did I? I'm sorry my name is Dustin and I'm 17 years old about to turn eighteen next month in December. I have pink hair and cotton candy blue eyes.I'm also 4"11" which is pretty short for a guy my age. Uhm I don't know what else to say there is nothing else to say about me other than I paint.

Once the water was warm to my liking I stepped in and let the warm water run down my body. Once I finished I stepped out and wrapped one of the white towels that was folded in one of the cupboards around my hips. I went to the mirror and opened it pulling my toothbrush and toothpaste and started brushing my teeth. I personally don't understand why we have to brush before we eat in the morning if we haven't eaten anything during the night before you brushed your teeth then. Sorry getting of topic I went back to my room and into my closet and started looking for clothes to wear. Don't be alarmed a gay man in his closet. Anyways I pulled out some blue jeans that frim light blue to dark blue with a star design towards the bottom, a plain white t-shirt, a hoodie that was red yellow and orange to look like the sun, and some black vans to be a black hole. Of you haven't guessed my outfit is based on space.

Once all that was done I grabbed my phone, headphones , book bag, wallet, and house keys. I went downstairs grabbed a water bottle and one of those pack of lemon green tea that you put into water. I looked at the time and it was 7:25 so I decided to stop by McDonald's and get my self some breakfast . Thankfully the McDonald's is about 8 minutes from home and 10 minutes from the school. I plugged my headphones into my phone and started listening to my favorite song by Melanie Martinez. I put on high volume and started walking not giving a care in the world. Once I arrived to McDonald's I got my breakfast to go and ate as I walked to school.

When I got to school I saw all the popular kids gathered in a group as always talking about who knows what. I honestly didn't care about anyone here and if they asked me I'm always honest and tell them I don't care about them. Although there is one person there is one person I don't care about more than anyone else here and that's the football captain William. I honestly don't see what people liked about him he was full of himself. He reminds me of one of those Russian dolls that you open one up and there's another one inside of that one. I ignored them and went inside the school and headed to the art room which was my sanctuary. Like i said before I paint but I can also draw and sculpt things I just paint more than anything else. I went to one of my portraits that is under a blanket because it isn't finished. I took the blanket off and looked at it. If your wondering what it is it's a painting of a oak tree that's leave are changing to it's fall color and the leaves are falling off. This is one of my favorite art works that I've worked on because when my mom passed and where she was buried a small tree started to grow there. I always thought of it as a way my mom says that 'I'm still here'.
