Softball love

Chapter 6

~Nic's POV~

Well I'm extremely nervous and I'm trying so hard not to show it. I can't believe that Jessica said yes to going on a date with me. We are just walking to the carnival that's a few blocks down because I thought to myself why not? We're walking in silence which is a bit awkward until she broke the silence.

"Well I'm happy that you asked me to go on this date with you. I was afraid you would never see me in that way."

"Why wouldn't I? You are such an amazing and outstanding girl how could I not?"

"You think I'm amazing?"she was blushing and I couldn't help but blush and just smile at her.

"Yes of course." I stopped walking to look straight into her eyes. I couldn't help myself but I just had to. I pulled her into my hard toned chest and lifted up her chin and placed a small yet passionate kiss on her lips.

~Jessica's POV~

We had just pulled away and I couldn't help but blush. I'm pretty sure I look like a tomato right now.

"What was that for?"

"I just couldn't help myself and wanted to prove that you are amazing."

After he said that he interlocked his fingers with mine and continued walking to the carnival.

~~~at the carnival~~~

We have been here for about 30 minutes and have gone on 3 rides. I am personally a little afraid of roller coasters so I was screaming my head off. When we got on the first roller coaster I was holding his hand so tight because I felt as though I was going to die.

"So are you having fun?" Nic asked curiously.

"Yea I am I'm just a little afraid of roller coaster."

"Oh really? I would have never guessed" he jokes sarcastically.

"Oh shut up!" We both just started laughing and continued to walk.

We went to one of the booths that had the prize of a huge teddy bear an I really wanted it. It was like my size and I wanted to win it so bad.

"Ooohh look at that huge teddy bear! Hold on wait here ima try to win it."

"No wait! Ill go win it for you don't worry." Nic walked over to the booth and gave the man some money and all you had to do was throw 3 baseballs into a hole and if you get all three you get the big bear.

"Yay! You made 2 now just one more!" I cheered in for him but he missed the last one.

"Awe so close it's okay. You'll win next time." I started walking away until he grabbed my arm.

"No. Wait! I wanna win you that bear." He gave the man more money and did his best to get the balls in the hole. On the last ball he made it in and was so happy and I was extremely happy because first of all he won just for me. Secondly I got my big bear. And third proves he had a great arm.

"Awe!!! Thank you so much I love it!!!!" I gave him a huge hug and got my bear.

"Awe you guys are so cute together! Did he win you that bear? How cute! Those are so goals worthy!" Some girl that was watching just randomly told us that which was a little weird but I could help but blush when she said we were cute together and that we were goals worthy.

"Thanks and yea I won that for her." Nic answered as if we were actually together which I though was cute.

We were at the carnival for a few more hours then we got tired and hungry so we went to his house.

~Nic's POV~

The carnival was an absolute blast! I even won Jessica a huge bear that was so noticeable in her eyes that she was dying to have it. Now were at my house after going to get some Chinese food. I got chow mein and beef broccoli and Jessica got chow mien and rice with orange chicken. I like how she's not afraid to eat whatever and how ever much she wants in front of me.

"Thanks for the Chinese food Nic." She said when she was done eating.

"Of course! Anything for you." I winked and just smiled. "So what do you want to do now?"

"Can we watch a movie?" She suggested.

"Yea sure what kind of movie do you want to watch?"

"Do you have any horror movies?"

"Of course! Those are my favorite types of movies! Which one do you want to watch?"

She ended up deciding on The Conjuring and so I put the movie in the DVD player and got us some popcorn and drinks. We stayed together on the couch and I felt so comfortable with her by my side.

~Jessica's POV~

During the movie I couldn't help but jump at the suspenseful parts and the part where people just pooped out. Like who wouldn't jump a little? Exactly. I think Nic noticed I was a bit scared when I felt his arm go around my shoulders. And of course me being me I snuggled into his chest. It felt so good and so right just to have him by my side.

During the middle of the movie I was already starting to fall asleep.

"Jess? ..... Jess?"

"Mm"

"Jessica come up to my room and get some clothes you can stay here for the night. It's too late for you to go home now."

"No it's fine I'll just sleep here on the couch."

"Nonsense here ill carry you to my room. And you can borrow a change of clothes."

Nic picked me up bridal style and took me upstairs to his room. He handed me some sweats and a t-shirt to change into. He pointed to the restroom and I changed and did my business then made my way back to his room.

"You can sleep on the bed and ill just sleep here on the floor."

"No! It's your room you sleep on the bed and ill just take the floor it's perfectly fine."

Nic just shook his head. "No your the guest and I want you to be as comfortable as you can.

There was no point in arguing with Nic because I know he won't take no for an answer. But how can I just let him sleep on the floor in his own house and room.
"Well at least come share the bed with me. It is your house and I don't want you to sleep on the floor in your own room."

"Are you sure? I don't want you to feel uncomfortable with me right there."

"Of course don't be silly just no funny business mister!" I couldn't help but start giggling.

Nic put his hands up in surrender.
"Hey! Of course. I'm not like that. But okay sure thanks."

And with that Nic came to lay next to me.

"Goodnight Jess."

"Goodnight Nic."

And with that I was almost asleep until I felt Nic's arm slip around my waist. I couldn't help but smile and snuggle into his chest. And with that I went to sleep with a smile on my face.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to update recently. I've had so much to do from softball practice to school and homework I haven't been able to keep updating. But I will try my best to keep updating as soon as possible.
