XLVII: Kaizen's Power

"Hold onto me tightly, okay?" Shard said, carrying Sky on his back. Shard climbed up the side of the volcano's wall, his wings too hot to fly. Kaizen threw Lxve and Alice II onto the floating rocks while trying to slow the magma.

"King, what's your status?" Kaizen yelled above his head to King, who was helping the girls and Shard out.

"Good. Got the twins up, waiting for Shard and Sky." King said. "How 'bout Pierce and Leah?"

"They're down here, helping." Kaizen said. "I'm gonna send them up soon, so standby !"

"Got it. Come on, let's go!" With that, Shard, Sky, Lxve, and Alice II were out.

"Dammit!" Shard said. "I can't help them..."

"It's okay, Shard." Sky said.

"Ugh..." Shard ran off, surprising the girls. They followed him, leaving King to himself.

"Shard!" Alice II said. "Where are you going?"

"I'm starting the ship! We need to get out of here as soon as possible!" Shard said, jumping from tree to tree. The four finally made it to the beach, and Shard jumped on the ship to try and start it up.

It wasn't starting up.

"RAAGH!!" Shard yelled, trying the starter again and again. Lxve jumped on his back and looked at the control board.

"Onii-chan, I can fix this!" She said, using her metal powers on the boat. "But it takes a few minutes. Go back and help as much as you can, okay?" Shard nodded before flying off while Sky strayed with Lxve, and Alice II followed him.

"You sure about them?" Alice II said.

"I'm sure Lxve can handle it.." Shard said.

"Listen, Shard...when this is all over...I need to talk to you." Shard looked at his little sister, who had an adorable serious face. He nodded, and soon arrived at the volcano.

"King.." Alice II said.

"It's not your fault. Their burns aren't serious." King said. Pierce and Leah were unconscious, with burns on their arms and back. King got them out just in time.

"Kaizen..?" Shard said.

"Still down there. Take a look." Shard looked into the base of the volcano and saw Kaizen, a red aura surrounding him. He was in full control of the lava now, and was able to make it swirl around like a phoenix.

"Whoa..." Shard flew down into the base of the volcano and yelled. Kaizen turned around.

"Get out of here. I'll meet you guys soon." Kaizen said. The aura around him was ferocious, his eyes a raging red and orange color. Shard nodded and flew away, telling King that they needed to escape and escape now.

Kaizen has gained some form of a boost to his power, and can no longer use it in close range until he controls it.

Shard and King rapidly descended down the mountain, carrying Pierce and Leah, Shard looking for the boat. The two made it back to the beach, and looked around.

"Sky!" Shard yelled.

"Shard! Over here!" Sky yelled from across the beach. Shard and King walked over to her and saw behind her a destroyed boat.

"What the hell happened?" King said.

"A certain someone said that they could turn the boat into an airship." Sky mumbled.

"I CAN, GIVE ME A FEW MINUTES!!!" Lxve yelled.

"She's using her metal powers.." Alice II said.

"Well Kaizen said we need to leave right now!" Shard said.

"But what about..." Lxve said softly.

"......Kaizen is coming, but he told us to leave immediately. He can control the lava to an extent. So hurry up! We'll help."

"O-okay.." Lxve said though tears. "Let's finish this airship!"
