she exists between the hours
that the clock forgot
a part of the tea set
that the children left to rot
in the mirror she sees
hung upon the wall
she reflects upon her thoughts
as she ducks into the stall
she sees her face distorted
as it has always been
nothing but ugly and fat
and she loses it again
her mind alight with flames
burning her away
she reveals not her thoughts
nor the blood she bleeds today
the innocent others
corrupted by her taint
cannot see the angel as
she loses her restraint
satan rules the scale
on which beauty is sought
he pulls even saints
into his sinister thoughts
the fight never ends
as we look into the glass
and swear upon our souls
this pound will be the last
losing everything we gained
and not just in weight
it fosters in the pain
the anger and the hate
so don't catch your reflection
it's not you you're seeing
just insults and numbers
and rationality fleeing
this girl fell for the lies
of the mirror she never left
and now she gains nothing
but her slow and painful death
