Chapter 13

I go to the front door, I open and leave. I don't understand why he is acting so weird. If he doesn't wanna talk fine by me. I get in my car and drive to my favorite place, Panera! I put my keys in the ignition and leave. I turn on the radio and jealous by nick Jonas starting playing. "I DONT LIKE THE WAY HES LOOKING AT YOU." I sing along. "IM STARTING TO THINK YOU WANT HIM TOO" I sing. I approach a stop light. I sit at the light for a few seconds and I can see panera in my vision.

I decide that I will get my food and leave. I pull in the parking lot and find a spot. I park my car and head inside. I stand in the line, I look at the menu and see what I want. I think I'll get the Mac & cheese. It's my turn next, I walk up to the cashier. "Hi, I'll have Mac & cheese and a coffee." I smile. "Okay is that it?" "Yes." I pull the money out of my purse. "It's gonna be $8.57" I Hand her the money. I grab the receipt and wait for my food. I stand there for a few minutes. My buzzer thing starts going off. 'Yay! My foods ready.' I say to myself. I grab my food and head out the door.

I get to my car and put my food in the passengers seat. I start the car and head to my house. I drive for a few minutes and I arrive at my house. I park and grab my food. I lock my car and unlock the door. "Hey mom!" I yell. No answer. I go to the kitchen and set my food on the island. I grab a bowl. I put all my Mac & cheese in the bowl and start eating it. I take a sip. I finish my food. I grab my phone.

I got a text from Jc.

From Jc:
Do you have a Halloween costume?

To Jc:
No. Why?

From Jc:
Kian and I are throwing a Halloween party at the house. You better get a costume before tonight. Pick you up later.

To Jc:
I'll go shopping now. See you later

I run to my closet and put on jeans, a crop top and converse. I hurry and throw that on. I lock my phone and slide it into my back pocket. I grab money and my car keys. I run downstairs, "mom, I'm going to go but a Halloween costume. See you later!" I yell as I open the front door. "Okay honey. See you later!" I hear her yell as I close the door. I walk to my car and hop in. I have no idea on a costume. Maybe I'll ask Jc to help me. I get my phone out of my pocket.

To Jc:
Hey, can you meet me at party city? I need help with a costume.

From Jc:
Yeah, I'll meet you there.

To Jc:
Okay. See you in a little

I put my keys in the ignition and I start the car. I pull out of my driveway. I head to the party city by Jc's house. I'm driving as I pull up to a stop light. I grab the aux cord and plug it into my phone. I go on my music and hit shuffle. Classic by MKTO starts playing. The light turns green and I go. I'm a few minutes away from the store. "OOOHHH GIRL YOUR SHINING LIKE A FIFTH AVENUE DIAMOND." I start singing. "THEY DONT MAKE YOU LIKE THEY USED TO, YOUR NEVER GOING OUT OF STYLE!" I sing more. I turn down the music as I turn into the plaza. I drive toward party city. I park, I grab my money and unplug the aux cord from my phone. I text Jc

To Jc:
I will wait outside for you.

From jc:
Just pulled into the plaza.

I lock my phone and stand near the door for a minute. I see walking in and out of the store, I finally see Jc's jeep pull into a parking spot. He's walking toward me. I look at him, he's wearing a tie-dye stussy shirt with ripped jeans and a bandana. He comes up to me. "Hey babe." He whispers while he pulls me into a hug. 'Well this is new' I say to myself. "Why the Hug?" I say as we walk in the store. "Your my girlfriend, we gotta start at some type of PDA." He grins. "Oh, we're gonna start PDA?" I say nervously. He grabs my hand as we look for the costumes. "I think I found them." Jc says as he pulls me into a isle. I let go of his hand and start looking for a costume.

I'm going through the rack full of costumes. "Hey I found one you might like." Jc says. I turn around, and of course he has a sexy cop outfit in his hand. "Are you serious?" I say while laughing. "I'm not wearing that." He puts it back. "Why not? It's sexy." He says while smiling. "I don't care how sexy it is. I'm not going to wear that." I turn back around and look more. " how about this one?" He says. " A clown costume, really?" I shake my head. "You didn't like the last costume I picked, so I picked the opposite." I shake my head again. I went through the costumes again. I found a cute bunny costume. It was so cute. "Jc, what do you think of this?" I turn around and show him. "You wanna be a playboy bunny? That's very sexy." He says with a smirk. "Why did I ask you to come with me?" I giggled. "Because you like me.." He responded. "Um.. Actually.. I really don't." I say. I grab the costume and head to the register.

I'm standing in line. "Why didn't you wait for me?" He asks. "I figured that it would be easier for me to pay while you were looking.." I move up in line. "I'm gonna pay for it." He says. "Are you wearing it? No your not, so I'm paying for it.." Jc moves around me and wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me closer. "I wanna pay for it.." He whispers; sending chills down my spine with every word. "No.." I say with a smile. The cashier checks everything out. "It's $10.36" she says. I quickly hand her the money. "You guys are so cute together.." The cashier says. "Oh... No. We're.." Jc interrupts me "thank you." He says with a smile. He kisses me on the cheek. I feel my checks getting red. I unwrap his arms from my waist and grab the bag. I start to walk out of the store. 

I head to my car, I left Jc in there so that's good. I turn back around to see where he is. He's running full force to me, the first thing I do is run. "Jessica, babe. You can't outrun me." He screams. "But I will today." I run past cars and went behind my car. I dunked down so he wouldn't see me. I'm so out of breath. I slowly stand up, I don't see him. I walk to the trunk of my car. I look around and he's no where to be seen. Than suddenly two arms wrap around me. "Boo!" He says. "Where the heck did you come from?" I ask. "It doesn't matter." He responds. "Why did you kiss me in the store?" I ask. "I say that we should start some PDA. And that's a start." He says. I unwrap him, and pop open my trunk. I set my costume in it. "What time should I be at the party?" Jc walks to me. "I'll pick you up. I'll text you when I'm on my way." I walk to the drivers side of my car. I try to open the door but Jc puts his hand on it. "Your forgetting something." He says. "Bye Jc." I say while trying to open the door. "I'm not moving.." He moves closer. "Fine!" I grunt. I kiss him on the cheek. "Thank you." He says. "I'll pick you up later." He adds. "Okay. Bye Jc."
