Hi my name is Katerina. I love my friends, my only friends live in the orphanage with me. I am going to turn 16 in a month from today. It is November 7 2015. And my birthday is December 7. My mom and dad died about 11 years ago, in a bad car crash. I have an older brother. He is 1 year 4 months and 1 day older than me. He was born on August 8 1998 and I was born on December 7 1999. We were very close when we were little. Until our parents died. Our aunt took him in. And sent me to the orphanage. I don't really remember his name. My full name is Katerina Patrova Mendes.

Katerina P.O.V

I'm living in the orphanage. And when you are 16 no one wants to adopt you so I can't wait till I turn 18. Then I can get a job. Get a nice house and maybe start a family. And maybe find my brother. But I have to wait 2 more years.

Alice- Katerina there are some people here to look for kids to adopt. (She yelled)

Katerina- I'll be down in a minute (yelled back)

Alice- ok be quick

Katerina- ok (starts to get ready)

2 minutes later

Katerina- (walks down the stairs and get in line with her age group)

Alice- (brings in two guys) ok everyone this is Mr. Mendes and this is Mr. Dallas. Say hello

Everyone- hello Mr. Mendes and Mr. Dallas

Mr. Mendes- you guys can call me Shawn

Mr. Dallas- you guys can call me Cameron

Alice- so who do you want to meet? Shawn

Shawn- I want to meet her *points to Katerina*

Alice- ok. Katarina come and meet Shawn

Katerina- *whispers* ok (walks towards Shawn)

Is Shawn going to adopt me? No, he probably wants one of the younger kids. His name sounds familiar. Shawn... Mendes... I don't know. But we have the same last name. Could he be my brother? Probably not. Way to go Katerina, already making assumptions. If he is my brother I will just ask him questions that I know the answers to. Maybe that will work. I'm not sure but I can take a chance. Here it goes
