The wind blows through Kaia's newly cut red hair as she runs through a forest in search of food. Protein is hard to find in this dumb-foundingly cold winter, so she mostly relies off what's left of her booksack she had packed weeks ago, and sadly many of her food she has already eaten because like any other teenager she is extremely bad at rationing. All she has is a small (expired) can of ravioli and a obliterated bag of Lays under her flashlight, lighter, and jacket. Despite the conditions she is still motivated to go towards her goal, nothing shall stop her not even the burdens of family and friends calling her back home with fliers and commercials in street windows. However, it's really hard to keep her mind off her love she left in the dust, he had done so much for her and she still cries from missing him but the promise of this man yanked her towards the belief of a much better existence even if it meant leaving him.
*** flashback ***
I rushed through the hallway hoping I could, just maybe, make it before that dreaded bell that has appeared to hate me for the last few days. I don't know why I had been strangely sleeping in these last few days... I guess there's too much of tumblr and not enough of hours in a night. With my attention deficit disorder I've never been able to restrict what distracts me. It could be a fucking blank wall and it could distract me. So, what I'm saying is imagine having an endless stream of thought and it all makes perfect sense but no one else understands when you talk about it because their minds are covered by a vexing barrier of ignorance and fallacious beliefs. It's a frustrating disorder that actually a lot of people have but not a lot are diagnosed. Thankfully, I was but the long train of thought always ends in with you forgetting half of it so, ironically, I keep on forgetting to take my medicine. So, I ran in the door and I must've blinked to long because I completely plowed over this guy and it wouldn't have meant anything if he wasn't the most stunning creature on this planet. His features command your attention. Soft blue eyes, dark brown hair, and a jawline that could literally cut me and I wouldn't even mind. I collect myself and say "I-I'm sorry I didn't want to be late and I didn't see you there..." He laughs and helps me up with one swift motion and says "Literally, no problem. I don't mind being your attack dummy" Oh god help me. I sprint to class not learning from what just happened and try to focus on not failing this quarter.
