*beep.beep.beep.* my alarm started going off. Today was the day. My mom says we are vacationing, but I know what's really going on. She wants to look for a house.
I got dressed, grabbed the bag that I had sitting next to my bed, and headed down the hall for breakfast. I had lucky charms that morning, which instantly made me think of my favorite younower, Blake Gray.
"Kaylee! It's time to go!"
"Alright, coming mom!"
The drive to the airport was long and boring. I had never been on a plane before, so when the plane took off, i freaked out, I was so nervous.
I fell asleep listening to the music on my phone, and before I knew it, we were landing.
We were staying with a family friend of ours while we were in Texas. As soon as we got to the house I threw my bag on the bed and texted my best friend, Kinley.
Kaylee: KinKin, I miss you already💛
Kinley: you'll be home before you even know it!
Kaylee: yea I know, but it's just weird being here in Texas. I mean, it's literally the complete opposite of Minnesota!
Kinley:hopefully your mom doesn't find that house she's looking for..
Kaylee:the house we are staying in is for sale, she was talking to the people about buying it, but I don't think she will.
Kinley:you better hope she doesn't!
Kaylee:but hey, maybe I can finally meet blake if she buys the house.
Kinley:THATS RIGHT! HE LIVES IN TEXAS!
Kaylee:he lives in htx, which is where I'm staying!
Kaylee: ugh I gotta go, my mom wants to talk about something. Text ya later KinKin💓
Kinley: alright, love ya babe.
Kaylee: Love ya too, Ttys.
"Kaylee.. We need to talk."
"Yea, anything mom."
"I've made a decision that you may not be the happiest about, but we are going to be moving."
"Here?!"
"This house exactly."
"Mom you can't!"
I didn't want to listen to another word that was about to come out of that witches mouth. I was so ticked at that point. I went to the 50s diner, called Jolt 'n Bolt, that was just down the block.
I sat down in a booth, and the second I sat down I hear the words "this seat taken?"
I look up, and it's Blake. Blake fricken Gray.
"N-no, it's not taken. Take a S-seat.", I stutter staring into his blue eyes.
"I'm Blake"
"I know. I mean.. Hi, I'm Kaylee.", I let a nervous giggle escape.
"You're really pretty Kaylee."
"Thanks Blake"
"Do you want to grab a burger here for dinner tonight?"
"I would love to... But I can't."
"Why not?"
"My mom decided that we need to fly back to Minnesota tonight to start packing even though we just got here."
"Packing for what?"
"My mom wants to move. I don't want to leave all of my friends and my home town behind."
"That sucks. Hopefully I can see you again sometime soon."
"That would be great Blake."
"Let me see your phone for a second."
I typed in the pass for Blake, and he opened my contacts.
He entered his contact name as "mine💍💛😍" and texted himself so he would have his number.
He gave me back my phone and we went our separate ways.
Blake: hey cutie, it's Blake
Kaylee: hey Blake, what's up?
Blake:I need advice
Kaylee:hit me
Blake:I really like this girl, and I want to ask her out, how should I & what if I'm scared to?
Kaylee: just don't ask her out over text, ask her in person. And practice on me.
Blake:alright.. I really like you, and I was hoping that we could catch a movie and dinner tonight?
Kaylee:you're set!
Blake:when's the next time I can see you?
Kaylee:why?
Blake:because you said to ask her out in person

Kaylee:of course I will go out with you Blake😊💓... But how will everyone react?😌
Blake:I don't care how they react to us dating, you make me happy, and that's all that matters.
Kaylee:I'll face time you as soon as I land.
