It's the million pencils being absentmindedly clicked against tabletops. It's the heavy sighs, the ticking of the clock, the anticipation coming off in every movement. Yet it's also the deep breathing, the sounds of dreams, of nightmares. It's the yawns of people just barely waking up. It's screams, tears running down someone's face, and laughter of children; it's old friends chatting and cars running. It's the sound of rain, and also the sound of animals skittering about.
It's all the sounds in the world, and unfortunately, Wednesday Sparks could hear each and every one of them.
