Scarlett POV

"Letty, if you want to be on time you better hurry up!" Jess yelled from her room.

I got up and took a quick shower. Changed into a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt. I grabbed my boots and quickly put them on. I left my wavy hair down and walked out my room and headed towards the kitchen.

Our apartment wasn't small but it wasn't very big. But it had exactly what we were looking for; 2 rooms, a kitchen, a living room, and 3 bathrooms.

"Jess hurry up." I shouted, she's always yelling at me to hurry up, but she's always the last one to exit the apartment. I poured some cereal and milk  into a bowl and put it on the counter. I sat down on a stool and began eating while watching some cartoons. Which is very appropriate for a twenty-one year old, who is soon turning twenty-two, right?

"Letty, tonight is party night!" Jessie said while walking towards me. She looked beautiful no matter what she wore. With her red curly hair and green eyes she looked like a model. She was wearing skinny jeans with a white crop top and her pair of brown UGGs.

"What?" I asked swallowing my cereal quickly.

"That's right, we're going to a party tonight. Tim invited us to meet his friend at a party." Jess said very excited.

Tim was one of my great childhood friends since I could remember. He was  four years older than I, but we met because our moms were friends. He had to move away in 6th grade so he didn't meet Jessie.

He came back in my senior year of high school and that's when he met Jessie. Tim and Jessie have been together for three years and they really hit it off. They met in a cafe while she was working as a waitress. I didn't even introduce them to each other they just met! You could say it's a bit cliché but I think it's a beautiful story.

"But I have a lot of assignments due next week!" I complained. College was a lot of work, but if I wanted a good career I'd do anything to achieve it. I'd luckily got a full scholarship which I really needed. My dad wasn't really rich so he was so proud when my name was announced that I had a free scholarship. That was the first time I saw him smile after my mom died. I only had two more months and then I'd graduate and become a teacher.

"No, you have to go! You're always studying and not having any fun. Plus, Tim said you have to come, no buts. And you can't makeup a lame excuse like last time." Jessie said while she sat next to me with her bowl of cereal.

I have been staying home studying but it's only been like a month. Before my studying Jess and I would always go partying every Friday. But since finals are almost here I have to push myself. Especially since we're graduating this month.

"It's been one month without partying! I think we can last a bit more." I say picking my bowl and putting it on the sink.

"I need my party partner back! Please go with me! Tim is introducing his friend to us! And if you're there his friend won't feel like a third wheel. Plus you'll probably like him." Jess said as she gave me her bowl.

Tim has been dying to show us his friend that I've surprisingly never met before. I've heard good stuff about him from Tim and that he's also Tim's boss. I washed the bowls and dried my hands.

"So you only need me as a distraction so you and Tim can have a private time?" I said walking into my room. I heard Jess following right behind me.
