I'm honestly starting to believe that someone is watching me as I sleep. I always feel that there's this shadow that lurks about my bay window, and just waits and sits there watching over me.
I try to shake it off, but my nerves take over, and I huddle under my blankets; secretly hoping the shadow will go away. Taking a closer look, it seems as if the shadow was of a boy, about the age of possibly 14, maybe 16 at the oldest. The shadow is a rumbunctious little thing, flying across the room like it had been on a sugar high.
My curiosity had gotten the best of me, and I simply mutter " hello?" and as if the world stopped, the shadow turned to face me. If it had eyes, they would be piercing into my soul. " Where did you come from?'' I ask.
The shadow points towards my window, and motions for me to wait a minute. For a second I'm standing there in pure silence, thinking how I'm talking to a shadow, when I hear a crow call, which then the shadow salutes me, and disappears into nothingness.
Where have I heard that familiar crow from? It couldn't be, can it? I think I need some rest, but tomorrow I'm definitely going to go with the shadow.
