Heaven and Hell

Chapter One

Louder than sirens, louder than bells. Sweeter than Heaven and hotter than Hell.

Florence and the Machine.

Castiel

I woke up to the sound of my brother playing the guitar. It sounds like he is playing Eye of Tiger.

"Gabriel?" I ask groggily. The song stops abruptly.

"Yeah, Cas you're finally awake, come on it's your first day of school today !" Gabriel yells.

"Ugh, why do you have to use my guitar?" I ask him.

"Reasons... ok yours sounds better than mine ...fine ok...mine is... broken!" Gabriel replies sheepishly.

I look at my clock on my bedside table: 7:47 it reads.

"I'm late" I yell and jump out of bed.

"Told you so!" Gabriel yells after me.

I run into the bathroom right and slam the door shut before my sister Anna can get in.

"Damnit Castiel I need to straighten my hair!" Anna screams through the door.

"Too bad you should've done that earlier!" I yell back.

I take a quick shower and five minutes later I gather my things while slathering honey on toast and run out the door...just to see my bus leave.

"No, wait!" I yell as I run after it.

I stop to catch my breath after having chased it up to next street.

Then I notice a black car pull up to my right. The driver is really good looking with brown hair and piercing green eyes.

"Hey, I noticed you missed your bus do you need a ride?" Asks the boy with green eyes.

"Oh, um..." I cast a look towards the bus.

"Where are you headed?" He has really beautiful eyes...Wait, what? Oh.

"Uh, Northwest Lawrence High School" I reply, while noticing a kid in the back.

"Hey! I'm headed there now, I'll take you!" He says

"Only if you want I mean" He adds quickly.

Uh... "Sure" I say. He seems harmless enough. He gets out and opens the passenger door for me. Oh, what a gentlemen... Cas stop it focus on not getting kidnapped.

I climb in and immediately notice that the song "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC is playing on the radio.

"Hey, this is my favorite song!" I smile up at him as he closes my door and gets in the driver's seat.

"Well you have a great taste in music!" He says as he smiles back. 

And cue the awkward silence. He clears his throat and starts driving.

"Anyways... my name is Dean Winchester and back there is Sammy. He's my baby brother" Dean says while smiling.

"My name is SAM, Dean why can't you get my name right? And I'm NOT a baby" Sam pouts.

"Oh, you know I'm just kidding with you Sammy." He grins at him through the mirror.

Dean looks at me now.

"So what's your name?" He says while he is still grinning. His smile is very disarming... What? Oh, right my name!

"Castiel Novak" I reply.

"THAT'S A COOL NAME!" Sammy yells from the back.

"Yeah I have to agree on Sammy with this one." Dean says.

I blush, honestly I can't help it. Ok, let's ask him something maybe he won't notice my blush.

"Um, what year are you guys in?" I direct the question to both of them.

"I'M-"Sammy starts off.

"Sammy here is still in middle school and I'm a senior" Dean cuts him off.

Right the middle school is right next to the high school.

"So what about you Cas? You're awfully quiet."

"Uh... I'm a senior myself." I say shyly.
"Huh, really I haven't seen you around." Dean says nervously.

Oh, he probably thinks I'm some quiet kid at school that he doesn't know and he feels bad.

"Oh it's because I just moved here" I say quickly.

That makes him smile. Be still o' heart of mine. Cas pull yourself together he's just a pretty boy the ride is almost over.

"Oh, well that's great I can show you around if you need help!" And he's helpful.

"Um... sure what's your-" I get cut off by Dean parking the car and Sammy running out. We're here already? Wow that was fast.

"BYE, DEAN. BYE, CAS!" Sammy yells as he runs off.

Dean laughs and quickly runs to open my door.

"Sorry about that Sammy is really motivated about school." Dean says as I climb out.

I laugh and turn towards the school and gasp. The school is enormous! I'm definitely going to get lost.
