Riley's POV

Be ready by tonight he says.

Stay out of trouble he says.

Don't be difficult he says.

where does all that cockiness come from.

Exiting the building I decided to visit Kim and Alice they're overly happy and are just what I need. I hopped on my bike and within minutes I was walking up to door of the two story house that looked like it was right out of a story book , a white picket fence and the  dog to go with it.

I rung the doorbell and was quickly greeted by the sound of a Elvis, their German Shepherd,  barking and Kim screaming for him to shut the hell up. Minutes later Kim opened the door dressed in a sexy but elegant black dress .

"You look lovely," I said.

A disappointed look crossed her face but was quickly replaced with a smile.

"Thanks Riley," she said as we walked into her kitchen.

"What aren't you  glad to see me." 

 "No, I mean yes I was just...."

"Expecting someone else," I said finishing her sentence.

"Well yes" she said confidently.

"Ok so what's the problem then," I asked.

"You remember  Carter from the office right, he asked me on a date but Derek hasn't picked up Alice yet and Carter will be here within minutes."

"Well aren't you lucky  that my wonderful ass came too see you" I said smirking.

"I will watch Alice and you can go on your smokin hot date."

"You really wouldn't mind," she asked. I could see the light flowing back into her eyes. She deserves a break I haven't see her this happy since she had been with Derek, but he turned out to be a dick and just walked out on her and Alice.

"What, are you kidding me I'd love to spend the day with Alice, she is my god daughter after all," I said smiling at her.

  With that the doorbell rung and she grabbed her small hand bag and kissed Alice, who was sitting on the couch, and walked out the door.

" I should be back around  8:00 pm," she said. 

"Have fun but not too much fun" I said  giving her a pointed look.

She just smirked and closed the door.

"So Alice what would you like to do today," I asked her.

"Let's watch the little mermaid,"she screamed in excitement.

"Come on Alice, please something else other then the Little Mermaid" I beg her, pouting out my lips and  giving her my best puppy dog eyes.

"Fine, how about...ummm...Frozen" she says her eyes sparkling

"Never mind let go back to the Little Mermaid"

"Noooooo...It's too late now,  I want frozen"  "Frozen , Frozen," she chanted.

With a sigh I walked up to the DVD player and popped in the movie.

Oh no, the movie has lyrics for the songs highlighted, for people to sing along to. Someone give me earplugs. Only a couple minutes into to the movie and she starts singing (do you want to build a snowman) off key might I add. oh my gosh how long is this movie, I can't take anymore of her singing. I feel like my ears are going to start bleeding.

It's now 7:30 and I'm in the kitchen cooking her favorite, spaghetti and meatballs, and she is still watching Disney movies, I think it's the lion king.

Alice's POV

Ring ring, I heard  the sound of the door. Mommy's home. I ran to the door and threw it open.

"Mommy I- you're not...".

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh."
