Eren sat at his desk next to Levi, late once again. He was wearing a jumper, but part of his wrist was still visible to Levi as he looked over. He saw fresh cuts along his wrist. "I told you to stop, Eren." Levi whispered, looking into Eren's emerald eyes. Eren looked down at his wrist and pulled his jumper up over his arm more.
"I'm sorry Levi... I try to. I can't do it. It's too hard" Eren looked away, starting to write.
"Please. Try harder. I know it's hard but you will get through this."
"I don't know about that."

After class, everyone walked out to recess. Levi walked with Eren as always. They got to their usual table with Jean, Marco, Armin, Mikasa, Sasha, Hanji and Connie. "Hey." they all said to the pair sitting down. Levi got out some biscuits and Eren sat there with nothing.
"Eren, have you got any food today?" Levi asked quietly.
"No. I'm not hungry today." he whispered.
"Don't lie to me."
"Okay! It's just, my aunt and uncle don't give two shits about me. And they wont get me any food to eat and I have no money to spend at the canteen. I'm literally living off of dry 2 minute noodles." Eren said quietly so the others couldn't hear them, trying not to let any tears fall.
"They should provide you with food. That's fucking wrong. I'll come over-"
"No!"
"Honestly," Levi pulled Eren over to a more private area around the corner where no one will hear them, "I want you to be healthy and happy at home. I want to help you. It's just a matter of time before we both move out and live together, and have a happy life. I promise." Levi wrapped his arms around Eren, kissing his cheek before they walked back over to the table.
"So, what's going on with you two?" Jean asked, the nosey person he is.
"Non of your business." Levi said, coldly. Eren rested his arm on the table, his scarred wrist showing. Jean noticed. "Woah Eren, do you cut your wrists?" Eren quickly put his arm back under the table, pulling his jacket over it.
"N-no." Eren looked away in embarrassment.
"Ew who even does that? Eren wouldn't do such a thing." Connie laughed.
"It's gross." Sasha added in.
"It's not gross! Stop being so mean!" Marco yelled. Levi was glaring at Jean.
"It is. What's the point of even cutting yourself with a blade and bleeding? How does that feel good?" Jean commented.
"Shut you mouth, Jean." Levi warned through gritted teeth.
"Be quiet! I knew you were always an asshole! We're done. Bye, idiot." Marco spat at Jean, standing up and walking off.
"He's right. You're a no-good dickhead, Jean. Piss off. And everyone else saying that this is 'gross', get the fuck out of my life. Leave!" Levi yelled extremely loud in his deep, protective tone, Connie and Sasha fled from the table. Jean stood up, smirking.
"I'm not scared of you, asshole." Jean said, smiling at him.
"You will be soon." Levi stood up, walking over to Jean and kneeing him in the stomach. He hit him in the face a few times.
"Levi! Stop it!" Eren yelled but Levi didn't stop. Eren stood up and grabbed Levi. Levi stopped, Jean grabbing his bag and walking away.
"Faggots." he muttered as he walked off.
"Don't listen to him Eren. I'm so sorry I had no idea you were going through this." Armin said in his usual kind voice, as Eren held back an angered Levi, sitting him back down.
"It's okay. I'm fine. I feel fine lately, y-you don't need to worry." feeling humiliated, Eren stood up and ran to the bathroom, Levi chasing after him as he ran into a stall.
"Eren. Come out. Let me talk to you." Levi said, no one else in the bathroom. Eren started crying silently, but Levi could still hear him. "You can cry in front of me, Eren. There is nothing to be ashamed of. Come on." Levi stood at the door. Eren unlocked it and walked out, hugging Levi and sobbing into his arms. Levi rubbed his back. "Let those tears out. And be strong for me. Don't hurt yourself tonight. This'll all be over soon." Eren continued crying, Levi stood there with his eyes closed, his arms remaining around Eren.

Eren got home. He always nurtured walking home, enjoying the short amount of time before going back to his abusive home. He wished his parents never died. He just wished he could run away with Levi. He will one day, but today wont be the day. He sighed before walking through the door, his aunt sitting on the couch eating chips. No greeting came from her. Just a glance. He walked past the kitchen and saw he uncle sculling beer bottles. His uncle didn't care to even look over at him. Eren walked into his room, locking his door. He hated his home. He hated his life. All that ever kept him going was Levi Ackerman. He slipped his jumper off and stared at his arm, which had fresh cuts over the old, fading scars. He sighed as he heard a knock on his door. He stood up and opened it. His aunt stood there.
"What'd I tell you about locking your bedroom door?" she rhetorically asked. "When will you bloody listen?" Eren just stood there. He realised saying things back made everything worse, so he remained silent. "Are you gonna speak to me?"
"No I'm not. Whenever I do I only get beaten anyway."
"What in god's name happened to your arm?"
"Grazed it. It feels fine though. It happened at school today."
"One nasty graze. Well, if you have homework do homework. Don't be texting that bloody Levi person or your phone is taken off you."
"I wont be." his aunt walked away and Eren closed his door, but didn't lock it. He could overhear his aunt and uncle's conversation in the kitchen.
"He's worthless. Life'd be easier without him." Eren sighed. He grabbed his blade from the bedside table.
"I'm sorry, Levi." he dragged the sharp metal across his left arm multiple times, putting more cuts on the old scars.
