If you could see life through my eyes

Chapter 5

Katerina's POV

Katerina was to shocked to even speak. After a few minutes she finally managed to ask the question that had been buzzing around her head since the end of the story.

"How do you know when you've found your mate?" She asked looking up at Lucius's grandad.

"You cant find your mate till your 18 and have completed the transformation. But when you do, you will know. Its different for everyone, however is basically the same. First you will be able to smell him, he will smell like nothing you have ever smelled before. Then once you touch it will feel like sparks are flying or major butterflies. When do you turn 18?" He asked

Katerina looked down at her hands. Pushing the shy feeling away she looked up and said "Tomorrow"

Lucius's POV

A strange feeling swept over Lucius's body. It felt like his whole body had been filled with happiness and warmth. He was already 18 however he had not found his mate. Could it be that the gorgeous girl sat beside him was his mate? He would find out tomorrow. He had a good feeling.

Later on the night i had convince Katerina to stay the night and to come to school tomorrow.  She agreed however she was scared as she had never been to school before. It was only 10pm and the shop down the street closed at 11 so I ran down to get things for Katerina while she slept. She had clothes with her but she needed contacts to cover up her amazing blue eyes and also stuff for school. I managed to find a pair of blue contacts which would make her eyes seem normal and bought her some pens and notepad.

I arrived home round half 10 and not wanting to wake Katerina i went straight to bed.

Katerina's POV

The next day Katerina was woken up by the smell of bacon. She rubbed the sleep out of her eyes and followed the smell. She found Lucius and his grandad in the kitchen.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" they both shouted at her. It took her a minute for everything to register. Today was the day she would shift. It was also the day she started school. They ate their breakfast in silence. Afterwards Katerina got ready for school. She put the contacts in that Lucius had kindly bought her. They did well in covering up her full blue eyes. She looked almost normal. As normal as anyone can get with Prue white hair. Last night Katerina had rushed home for some clean clothes so she wouldnt have to go to school in dirty ones. She showered and got dressed in her ripped white jeans, black strappy top and her black biker jacket and matching heal boots. She applied eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow and red lipstick. Katerina looked at herself in the full length mirror in the bathroom and admitted that she looked hot. Her white hair curled down her back, ending mid way down her back.

Giving herself one more look over she made her way downstairs. Katrina was 90% positve that Lucius drowled a little at the sight of her which made her blush. He opened the door for her and both made there way to his old pickup truck.
