The majority of the world's population refuse to believe in what we call mythical creatures; they deny magic and what they call fairy tales are just that to them; fairy tales. It is perfectly okay to believe that these "mythical" creatures are in fact mythical, but it would be in your best interest to accept the truth; they are real, they live among us. You could name just about any fairy tale and it would have some truth behind it. The thing about this is that it isn't just fairy tales, the ones with the happy endings, all of the monstrosities in your nightmares are real to some extent, and in our world is overrun by these monsters, it has become abnormal to not be one.
Those people you see walking down the street who wouldn't give you the time of day? Monstrosities. The kids at school who feel like they're above everyone and treat everyone like dirt? Monstrosities. But then you meet those few people who are exceptionally kind to everyone they meet; always willing to lend a hand, to do just about anything for someone in need? Those are what we call protectors, they are what has kept the world going, they help some of the monstrosities who don't realize what they are and become protectors.
Protectors help shelter anyone in need. Monstrosities feed on sadness and misery. The population of earth is overrun by monstrosities, with a few protectors sprinkled into the mix.
Of course there are the few mundanes who are proven not to be monstrosities, and yet don't have what it takes to be a protector. These people however, are not to be overlooked, as nice as they may seem, you should not go disrespecting a mundane, for they have to power to turn mundanes, and protectors in to monstrosities. Mundanes where once believed to be harmless and essentially worthless beings, thus the name mundane. Over the course of time the overseers were proved foolishly wrong. After a lone mundane had felt betrayed by the overseers, she organized an attack on them with a large group of mundanes. Hardly any overseers survived, the ones who didn't became monstrosities, the ones who did created protectors to help themselves.
The overseers may not seem atrocious but in truth they are selfish, ignorant, persuasive and fearful. The overseers were terrified when they were attacked by the mundanes, and when they made the protectors it caused extreme pain, the protectors were angry with the overseers for putting them through all of that pain during their creation. The overseers were fearful that the protectors would come back and harm them like the mundanes had. In an attempt to save themselves without losing the protectors that they had made, they began to teach them kindness. The protectors learnt all they could from the overseers, and were sent down to earth to begin their job. Of course the kindness on earth is much different than what the overseers call kindness; it took a while but the protectors eventually changed and adapted to the ways of kindness that would be noticed and productive on earth.
Over the course of time stories became stories and monstrosities, mundanes and protectors forgot what they really were, but never changed their ways. Overseers have been watching over the world for centuries, never lifting a finger to help in any way, watching from safe places where they cannot be found or harmed. The overseers constantly let harmful and potentially dangerous things happen to mundanes, protectors and monstrosities, when they easily have the power to stop it.
Despite all of the "good" they claim to be, they will never help you, they will never side with you. Believe what you want to, but I know, they have always been villainous, and they always will be. I'm sure I might seemed biased, and maybe I am, but listen to me, they hate us all. Us monstrosities above all. They will never help us, so why should we help them? Why should we give them the pleasure and the gift of peace? I want them to pay for what they have done, and I think it's about time that they got what's coming to them.
