I hear Shay get out of bed, "Love you baby," he says and he leaves. He does this every morning for his daily motorcycle ride around the property to check to make sure everything's going smoothly. I moan as I pull out of bed. Another day is being repeated.
I put on my glasses and put my hair in a bun and head to the kitchen. I start to cook up some bacon, waffles and eggs. I prepare a small tray of fresh fruit that I put in the refrigerator I decided to give the kids a big breakfast today. After the eggs, bacon and waffles are made I get the kids up.
Shay usually wakes up Emmi, Brock, Daxton and Gavin while I wake up Avia. "Rise and shine Princess," I say and give Avia a little nudge. "Waffles!" I tell her in a excited tone.
"I'm up," she sighs. She pulls out of bed and starts getting ready for fifth grade.
I head back upstairs to clean the kitchen. I unload the dishwasher, wipe the counters and make it a little more clean.
Avia's the first up to breakfast. She always seems to be the most prepared. "Good Morning Mom," she says cheerfully. She wearing one of her favorite black tops with a cute white shirt underneath. Sometimes she seems a bit spoiled calling herself the most popular in her class and wanting to change her name to "Fashiontard" she will always be my baby and a princess to me. She grabs a plate and gives herself eggs, bacon and a big waffle.
"No fruit," I tease. She stares at me in shock.
"Of course," she sasses and snaps her fingers. She puts blueberries, strawberries and raspberries all over her waffle. She then drizzles maple syrup over it she loves her fruit. She sits at the counter and spins on her chair.
"Eat," I command. She begins to eat.
"Mom can you do my hair for school today?" she asks. She loves it when her hair is done but I rarely have time. Usually our deal is she has to be ready for school and her hair must be brushed. Her room has to be pretty clean and she might do a chore like load the dishwasher. She also needs to help with the little ones. Today is a pretty lazy day for Shay and I but since its November I need to start storing away the Halloween decorations.
"I think I can manage that but after your all ready, hair brushed, Dad will check out your room see of something big needs to be done once its A-Okay you can take one of those plastic, see through storage bin and neatly put away Halloween items." I tell her. She starts to eat a bit faster. "Avia after school you and the rest of the bunch will need to clean your room until its basically spotless, Okay?"
"Alright Mom," I smile at her as I sweep the floor. "EMMIII" I call. She can be a lazy bum sometimes.
Shay picks this moment to walk through the door, "Is Loofus not up and eating breakfast?" he half asks and says it loudly. I nod my head. Shay pulls out the camera and says, "Let's get Emmi up here now guys!!!" He takes off and I laugh, "EMMMMII, why aren't you up eating breakfast"
Avia gets up and rinses her plate and puts it in the dishwasher. "Gonna brush my teeth," she says and takes off.
I hear Daxton whimper, if he starts crying I'm going to be real mad at Shay. Sometimes I feel like Shays just five that calls himself a grownup. If only I could put him in timeout. As I hear Shay and Emmi come up I put a stern look on my face. "You almost woke up the baby," I tell him. Shay, still vlogging, points the camera towards Emmi who is laughing and pointing her finger at him. "You need to eat or your going to be late for school." I tell her.
As Emmi serves herself Shay points the camera at me. "Lets see you dance Mommytard," I break into a little random jiggle. "She got the moves guys." he says.
"Dad!! I'm ready for you to check out my room." Avia had entered the room.
"Come on guys! Do you want to help judge and inspect Avia's room. Let's go," he says and they take off.
