Episode 14: Healing Hands

Lapis gripped her blue hair tightly. She was losing everything she had ever loved. She was losing Gaogamon.

Kari knelt down next to her, pulling her into a hug. She looked up at the pair of wizard Digimon. "Isn't there anything we can do?"

Lapis and her little team had managed to get back to Michaela and the others. Yet, by then, Gaogamon's condition had worsened severely.

"I'm afraid not..." Wizardmon said, now reverted back to his normal form.

"Let me help!" Someone giggled. From the bushes nearby, a little pink rabbit Digimon bounded towards the group.

"Who are you?" Patamon asked, eyeing the Digimon warily.

"I'm Cutemon!" The Digimon giggled.

"Fitting name." Mimi smiled.

"Just what can you do to help my partner?" Lapis sniffled. Tears ran down her face like rain.

Cutemon rushed over to Gaogamon. She pressed her little hands to his wound, her pink paws glowing green. Slowly but surely, the wound began to close.

"I thought there wasn't anything we could do?" Michaela asked, looking to her partners for answers.

"I.... I dont believe it..." Sorcermon gasped.

"Cutemon is supposed to be a myth, along with Dorulumon." Wizardmon explained. "The two usually travel together."

"There! All better!" Cutemon chimed. "He should wake up soon. He had a very nasty wound."

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Lapis sobbed, squeezing the rabbit to her chest. "I owe you everything!"

"Everything?" Cutemon tilted its head. "I could use some help of my own..."

"What do you need?" Lapis asked.

"I need help saving Dorulumon. Some very nasty Digimon have him, and that's no good!" Cutemon puffed out her cheeks as she placed her hands on her hips.

"Do you know who these Digimon were?" Izzy asked.

"They were tall! They had metal faces and blue hair that was like fire! Their hands were covered in chains!" Cutemon described them as best as she could, trying to hold back tears and shudders at the painful memory.

"We'll get him back, Cutemon, don't worry!" Sora cooed, picking up the little guy.

"Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Really?!" Cutemon began to bounce in Sora's arms.

"Yes, really." She grinned.

"Then let's go!" Davis cheered.

Birdramon and Aquilamon soared through the sky, trying to find where Dorulumon was. Gaogamon was resting in Lapis's Fusion Loader. Raidramon and Garurumon were carrying everyone, with the help of the two bird Digimon in the sky. Caitlin still hadn't woken up, but Ken agreed to hold her when riding on Raidramon.

"Look!" Cawed Birdramon. Everyone looked to see the mountain where she had first digivolved at, when she fought of Meramon.

Everyone headed that way. When everyone was there, the group looked around. There was nothing around except-

"Metal Fireball!" A large blue flame mixed with liquid metal slammed into Raidramon, immediately making him degenerate into Veemon.

"Veemon!" Davis called, rushing to his partner.

"That's them! That's them!" Cutemon announced, pointing a tiny pink finger and bouncing with anticipation.

"That's SkullMeramon!" Tai hissed. "Metal Greymon fought him when Myotismon was in the real world.."

"They took Dorulumon!" Cutemon said tearfully.

Sora glared. "You're just bullies!" She yelled to the tall Digimon.

"Sora, watch out!" Joe yelled. Another blue fireball was hurtling towards her.

Birdramon screamed as she took the hit, wincing. "Are you okay?" She looked to her partner.

Mimi screamed, seeing another fireball spinning at her. Palmon used her vines to pull her away.

"Palmon digivolve to.... Togemon!" Togemon glared at the SkullMeramon, ready to attack. "Needle Spray!"

SkullMeramon laughed as he shook off all of the needles. He seemed unharmed.

"They're Ultimates! We need to digivolve further!" T.K. said loudly.

Cutemon had had enough. She rushed forward, screaming and flailing her arms. "Give me back my friend!"

"Cutemon!" Someone called weakly. She turned to see Dorulumon, trapped on a cage made of raging fire. His amber eyes widened. "Watch out!"

Cutemon turned to see a fireball rushing at her. She flinched, waiting for impact, but it never came. Confused, she blinked her eyes open.

Birdramon fell to one knee in pain.

"Birdramon!" Sora called, close to tears. "Birdramon, no!"

"Sora and Birdramon need us!" Mimi acknowledged. "Go, Togemon!"

Suddenly, Sora, Mimi, and their partners glowed red and green. Everyone gasped at the bright lights.

"Birdramon digivolve to..."

"Togemon digivolve to..." The two formed into one being. This Digimon had a blue head and a white belly. A gold crown rested on its head as a green bush sprouted from the back. "Deramon!"

"Royal Smasher!" Deramon shouted. From the bush on its back, nuts and eggs shot out, slamming repeatedly into the SkullMeramon, sending them flying.

While Deramon fought them, Wizardmon and Sorcermon got Dorulumon free of his cage. Cutemon healed him, then hugged him tightly.

"Drill Bit Blitz!" The drill Dorulumon shot out destroyed the SkullMeramon, causing their data to go into the Fusion Loaders of Sora and Mimi. Deramon devolved into Biyomon and Palmon.

"We did it!" They cheered, all hugging each other.

"Thank you all for saving me. I would have been toast it if weren't for you." Dorulumon thanked, bowing his head.

"Thank you, thank you!" Cutemon agreed happily.

"It was no problem." Mimi grinned.

"Lapis," The giant wolf said. "I hear you have an old friend of mine, Gaogamon."

"I do." Lapis nodded. She pulled out her Fusion Loader and let her partner out.

Gaogamon, who was now Gaomon, stretched his limbs. He smiled at the wolf he saw in front of him.

"Hello, Dorulumon." He smiled.

"Hello, Gaomon." Dorulumon nuzzled the more pup-like Digimon, grinning toothily. "It's good to see you again!"

A groan caused everyone to look over. Caitlin was just waking up. Finally.

"Caitlin!" Lapis and BlackGatomon gasped, hugging the girl tightly.

"What'd I miss?" She asked in confusion.

"A lot." Tai laughed. "Glad you're alright."

"We should head home, explain things." Lapis told Caitlin.

"What about Cutemon and Dorulumon?" Yolei asked.

"We'll wait for you all to return." Dorulumon said in his gruff voice.

"Then let's go." Kari said, holding her Fusion Loader to the TV set nearby.

Lapis smiled at Caitlin and their partners, holding them all as they warped back home. She was glad they were all okay. She didn't know what she'd do without them.
