Chapter 1: The Covenant Attack.

"KYLE WAKE UP WE NEED TO GO!"

I woke up to my dad Kyle yelling and I looked out of my window to see something terrifying something I wish I could un-see to this day.

"Kyle wake up man its time for school we are going to be late." My dad said

(a little about the character's) I'm Kyle Jr. my dad and my mom like the name Kyle so they named me Kyle I'm 14 years old and a freshman in high school in the year of 2526. My dad is a spartan in the UNSC but isn't in a squad so he only watches the neighborhood we live in. He had to beg the commander for this job he wanted to help my mom raise me. I'm training at Corbulo Academy to join my father as a spartan and today is the day of the procedure and they are giving us our suits we train from childhood my father wanted the best for me my mom well she didn't like this idea but she thought it would be for my safety.

"Kyle lets go are you even in your uniform?!"

"Yea I'm coming dad."

I grabbed my bag and ran downstairs.

"Kyle can you eat before the procedure?" my mom asked

"No it can harm me."

"OK well when will you be home?"

"I can't come home today I have to stay at the medical clinic for a day in case if anything happens."

"Ok just be careful."

"We will ok we haven't had anybody die froths in over 12 years it is safe." My dad said

"Ok just watch my baby for me." mom said

"I will he will be safe I'm on duty tonight love you be safe."

"Ok bye."

We got in the truck and left.

"You nervous buddy?"

"A little bit I'm becoming a spartan dad this is kind of stressful for a 14 year old."

We got to the academy and I got prepped and was told after I'm done with the procedure i would get my gear and start a small training session just so we can learn the suit and then get assigned jobs.

I woke up in the medical center with all the other kids and I felt different but I was the only one awake.

I got out of my bed ad looked around for people but nobody was there there was a sign on the door that said, "If you have just woken up go out this door and find the suit that has your name on it put it on and go down the hall way until you find a spartan keep your helmet off so they can identify you."

I did what the sign said. I got to my suit and it asked on the screen what color i wanted I chose white and black and it painted it died it and opened up and the machine put the suit on and I grabbed my helmet and walked up to a spartan, "Number please?"

"I never got a number."

"Oh yours is on your suit. Ok 118 you can go through those doors and keep your helmet off so they can identify you."

"Yes sir."

I walked out of the door and saw my dad but he was watching 119-124 nobody had 118. I saw the commander of the deck and asked, "Sir why is my number 118 no spartan on this deck has 118 sir?"

"Ah a new kid lets see Kyle Jr. ok........oh you are special you exceeded in your training you are being put into a squad tomorrow you don't need any training today you an go get your weapons now they are over there."

I walked over to my dad who had some weapons and he helped me put a knife on my suit and i grabbed a DMR and assault rifle. "Good luck I'm watching you tonight in the barracks ok i was told to tell you to report to deck 120 to meet up with a spartan."

"Ok I'll go there now what barracks to I go to tonight?"

"134."

"Ok thanks I'll go to deck 120."

I still had my helmet off as i was walking away my dad yelled, "Put your hemet on you can do that now."

"Excuse me recruit are you supposed to be over here please remove your helmet."

I took my helmet off and said, "Yes sir I'm Kyle Jr. spartan 118."

"Oh he is over there put your helmet on he dent like it when people take of their helmets."

I put my helmet on and walked over to him and said, "Sir spartan 118 Kyle Jr."

"Nice to meet you you are apart of my team let us do the dirty work and you handle the little stuff don't want you getting hurt."

"Yes sir. If you don't mind my asking what is your name sir?"

"Spartan 117 You can call me John or chief go to your barracks its almost time for bed."

"Yes sir."

I walked out and went to the barracks and got my suit off and went to sleep.

"KYLE WAKE UP WE NEED GO!"

I ran out of the bed and ran to putty suit on but I looked out the window and saw covenant ships I froze I was scared out of my mind. "KYLE WE NEED TO GO!" I got my suit and guns and ran out with my dad we were shooting covenant, "DAD WAIT CHEIF WHERE IS HE!" 

"I DONT KNOW YOU GO FIND HIM AND ILL GO GET YOUR MOTHER! IM TRUSTING YOU CAN BE BY YOUR SELF."

"I GOT THIS DAD GO. WE MEET UP BACK AT BAY 176  AND WE TAKE A PELICAN OUT OF HERE WHEN I GET INSIDE I WILL SEND A DESTRESS BEACON"

"OK GO!"

I ran inside and saw cheif trying to disarm something, "What are you doing we have to go."

"I'm trying to throw this into the enemy ship so all the other ships will die." 

"What about all the covenant just let it blow up we have to go you can't save everybody it's impossible."

"Where do we meet your dad?"

"Bay 176."

"Ok let's go we have 10 minutes to get out of here."

We ran to the bay but my dad was no where to be seen I tried him over the com station but he didn't answer all I heard was static, "we can't leave him behind I'll go look for him our house is really close to here."

"I'm coming with I'll be your gun man."

"Ok let's go.wait what is that noise."

There was beeping and it got faster.

"GO RUN!" Cheif yelled

There was a big explosion and everything went black
