Going to school is seriously my least favorite thing to do. I would actually prefer to stick my head in a microwave but that's not really a valid option at this point. At least not yet. Luckily, I have Jessie. She keeps me remotely sane and grounded...most of the time. She texted me last night telling me that she had a surprise for me. Needless to say, I'm scared as hell. The last time she had a "surprise" for me, she shot me in the chest with a paintball gun and I had a giant welt for like 3 months. I'm pretty sure that people thought it was a tumor or that I was trying to grow a third boob. This time she swears that no one will get hurt, but I have no reason to trust that with her track record.

I arrive at school 10 minutes early as usual. God forbid my parents ever make me late for something as horrid as high school. Now Jessie on the other hand, it's incredibly surprising if she's more than 2 minutes early. So you can imagine my shock when I saw her standing next to my locker rocking back and forth on her heels. She see's me and lets out a loud squeal and runs up to me. As soon as she gets to me I flinch.

"Oh my god Elise. You're not going to believe what I have in my pocket!"

"If it's another paintball gun then you better call the cops now because I will kill you."

She glares at me. "Okay, that was one time. When will you let it go. The welt went away eventually." She squeals once more and pulls some type of paper out of her back pocket. I watch her very carefully, scared something is about to fly out at me, but she just opens her hand. My eyes go wide as I see what it is.

"Wow! How did you get those?"

"Jeez, you could've at least acted more excited." She puts her hands on her hips.

"Are those real?" I beg and grab at the paper in her hands.

She hands me the papers. As I inspect them I see a big printing of the name 5 Seconds of Summer and a broken heart with a safety pin in it. My mouth drops.

"We're actually going to see them? These are real and I'm going to finally see them?"

"Now that's the reaction I was hoping for." She snatched the tickets back. "My mom got them for us because I actually passed my history midterm."

My eyes go wide again and my hand flies to my mouth. "You actually passed a test! Who are you and what have you done with my best friend?"

She smacks me and we laugh. I still can't believe this is real. I'd ask her to pinch me but I know she would and if I am dreaming I definitely don't want to wake up.

Classes pass slow as hell as usual and I cant contain my excitement. I keep fidgeting and picturing the boys in front of me singing. Then I realize that I didn't check where we were sitting. I push that thought out, her mom probably got us as far as possible. But I don't even care, I finally get to see the boys.

When I finally get home I immediately ran to my room and turned on my computer. Since I'm home alone for another hour I blast 5SOS and sing along while dancing in my room. The music was so loud that I didn't even hear my parents walk inside. Much less hear them while they were yelling my name from the hallway. I didn't know they were home til my music shuts off suddenly and I turn to angry face and folded arms. I sit down on my bed, fold my hands and stare at the floor.

"We know that you're going to that concert of this insufferable;e band." My dad spits."We also want you to know that you wouldn't be going if it wasn't for Jessie's mom calling us ahead of time." I nod.

"There are ground rules before you leave. If you don't agree to them, you won't leave this house again for anything other than school. Understand?" My mom asks. I nod, still staring at the floor.

"You will call us as soon as you get there." Dad says.

"You will not talk to anyone other than Jessie and workers." Mom adds.

"And you will call us as soon as it's over and when you get back to Jessie's. If you don't follow these then you know what'll happen." Dad finishes.

"Yes sir. I understand." I say quietly. I still won't look at them. They both walk out and slam my door. I'm froze, I can't stop thinking about their so called "rules".

After about 10 minutes of staring at the floor on the end of my bed I text Jessie.

Hey girl. Hurricane no fun and bullshit just hit my room. I have "ground rules" for the concert. :(

As usual, she answers me within minutes.

WTF?! Let me guess...dont talk to anyone. dont touch anyone. sit on your ass and have zero fun. with a little added i hate Jessie somewhere in there?

I let out a loud laugh and then cover my mouth. I don't want my parents to hear me. I don't want to give them a reason to not let me go. I'm so close to getting to go. I text her back with a grin.

Pretty close actually. Add in that I have to call them when we get there and when we leave AND when we get back to your place.

As I wait for her text I walk over to my closet and decide what I'm going to wear to the concert. I was already wearing jeans so I decide to just keep them on. I change my shirt to one that says "5 Seconds of Summer - Derping since 2011" and slide on my converse that my parents hate. I'm not sure why, other than I don't want my feet stepped on in sandals. I walk back over to my bed as I hear my phone buzz. I know it's Jessie so before I grab it I turn my TV on and sit against the wall on my bed.

HA! fuck that! See you in an hour for the best night of your life. :) <3

I can't help but smile. I toss my phone to the side and wait for the text that she's here.

After an hour I don't get a text so I walk outside just to see if she was there. As I open the door her mom and her pull up right in front of my house. Jessie has a huge smile on her face and Mrs. G grins at me. She can tell we're excited.

"Get in bitch. We're going to see 5SOS!" She yells across the yard and starts laughing.

I put my finger over my mouth and say "shh" even though she can't hear me and she just laughs. I turn around and yell to my parents and tell them that I'm leaving. Right before I shut the door I hear my dad yell, "remember the rules." I roll my eyes and walk away.

As I shut the car door I lean over to Mrs. G. "Thank you so much for getting the tickets. You have no idea how much this means to me and I don't know how to repay you."

She smiles back at me through the mirror. "Don't worry dear, you girls deserve to have a little fun. And you can repay me by keeping my daughter from getting pregnant tonight."

"Mom!" Jessie yells and lightly smacks her moms arm. Her mom just laughs and winks at me. I wish I had that kind of relationship with my mom.

Jessie turns around to me. "Tonight is going to be epic."
