There was once a happy couple who wished to start a family. The husband was a skilled sailor and his wife lovely. They decided to buy a light house so when he was off sailing, he would see the light and know she was with him. They soon had a child. While the lovely wife stayed home to take care of their son, the sailor went off to sail and was never seen again. The widow had named her son Charlie, after her late husband. She knew she was going to die, so she bought food and supplies for Charlie to use. She knew he would get lonely, so she made over 1,000 notes and placed them all over the lighthouse for Charlie to find. By the time Charlie was three, he knew how to take care of himself and his mother knew she had done her job and she passed away. Charlie was alone in the lighthouse. When he was around the age of seven, he wanted to have an adventure he went down to the seaside and played in the water. He loved the water. He started to go deeper and deeper every day. He wanted to go out in the water, farther then anyone could go. He couldn't swim there, no one could. When he was ten, he saw other children playing in the water and they were swimming. Charlie didn't know how to swim due to his mother not teaching him because she didn't want him to end up like his father. He started to practice, but he made sure no one saw him because everyone thought the lighthouse was abandoned. He soon taught himself to swim and swam every day. He loved it. He always wanted to go farther and farther. When he was thirteen, he started to make a raft. He made many different designs of rafts, then at the age of fifteen, Charlie made made a boat with a sail. He made his first sailboat. He realized he was hungry, so he went back to the lighthouse and when he returned with his lunch, there was a girl, about his age, sitting on his sailboat. He ran out there and she said " Is this yours?" Charlie answered,,"Well, yeah." The girl replied " It's beautiful ". "Thanks, do you want to take it on a test run with me?" "Sure", she said. We jumped in the sailboat and we headed out to sea. About five minutes into it, we were flying through the sea when she asked, " Have you done this before?" "Nope.", I replied. "Your very good at it". " Thanks". We talked for a lot more. They went ashore and talked for hours. Her name was Pearl and Charlie named his sailboat after her. When Charlie was twenty-three, he got married to Pearl. Three years later Charlie has a son and named him George, after his father. He taught George how to sail on the S. S. Pearl.
