Pulling my arm back and eyeing up my opponent, I release the hard red dodgeball, smacking Sam Brooks right in the face.
Turning round and giving my best friend Ally a high five, I hear them bickering,
"Miss Jackson! Riley just hit me with a ball!" Sam complains
"That is the object of the game, Samantha" the teacher explains to her as she begins walking closer to me.
Walking past me she swings her shoulder into mine, causing me to grunt in pain.
"What the hell?!" I scream turning so that I am facing her.
She flips me off and I loose it. Charging towards her, I send her flying onto her back and begin pulling out lumps of her hair.
The kids form a circle around us and begin to chant, willing us to fight.
"Girls! That is enough!" Yells the teacher, marching over to us and prying us away from each other.
Miss Jackson and a girl from our class take us to the PE base and leave us to wait for Mr Barker (head of PE and definitely not a guy you want to cross paths with)
We sit in silence glancing over at each other until he calls us into his office. He begins by talking to Sam and giving her a slight telling off and sending her back to class... Okay so he's not in such a bad mood that's good.
"As for you, Riley, I'm afraid this was your last chance" he sighs and mutters something under his breath
"Come on...promise I'll be good this time" I give him my best cheesy smirk as I plead him to forgive me
"I'm sorry Riley but just because I'm your father does not mean I can give you special treatment... I'll call Mr Weeble tomorrow and see how soon they can take you
"You cannot be serious!" I scream in shock "I'm not going to that sh*t hole"
Storming out of his office and slamming the door I begin to run straight to Ally's house to wait for her.
***************
Ally gets back to her house ten minutes after me but I had already let myself in.
"Riley?" She calls up the stairs
"What?" I shout through my tears
She crawls up the stairs and hugs me from behind letting me cry for as long as I need to without asking me anything.
Finally, I speak to her "Weeble" I whisper and begin sobbing again. This one word is enough for her to know what I mean and she pulls away from me, enough to see my face.
"You're joking?" She asks, a look of shock on her face and I shake my head
"My dad text me the details, I start Monday" I whimper thinking through the days events I. My head.
She breathes heavily then begins trying to comfort me "Maybe it's not that bad Ry, I mean... Just give it a chance, yeah?"
I stare at her with a look of confusion on my face, is she being serious?
"It's Weeble Grammar, I can't 'just give it a chance'" I mimic her squeaky voice and she laughs, "I'll go to" she jokes
My head snaps up and she realised what she has just done
"I was joking Rylie" she tries explaining
Bringing tears to my eyes and pouting my lips I begin to beg her "Please, please, please? Oh pretty please Al? Then I would have a fiend with me!" I exclaim, the idea of Weeble slowly getting better in my head... I mean, how bad could it be with a friend by your side?
"Ugh, fine I'll ask my mum but no promises" she groans, giving in to my pleading
A smile suddenly appears on my face and I jump up and begin dancing like s freak, making Ally snort with laughter.
Suddenly this 'Weebly Grammer' thing isn't sounding so bad.
