Shadow of the Night

ONE

I slowly crept out of my hiding place, I made sure the coast was clear. I ran away from my best friends corpse, she had been murdered by the Shadow of the Night. More dead corpses everywhere, pools of blood underneath their bodies, it was not a pleasant sight. I look around and see friends and family on the floor, dead. Cold blooded murder.
I had tears in my eyes, I was the only one alive in this village, i broke into someone's house, more dead people. I walked through the house and no one was alive. The whole village was dead except me. I start to walk, leaving blood footprints, I see a wisp of shadows and know this is the end for me, a knife struck my heart, I collapsed.
Now we will never know who the Shadow of the Night really is...
