Katrina was dreaming about butterflies and ice cream and and the smell of peppermint. Little did she know what was happening 7.5 meters to her left. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" A high pitch scream came from her left, she woke terrified. Kat ran to her fathers room. He was dead. Her world just stopped, she was in shock. Her green eyes started to well. She just couldn't believe the amount of blood that was coming out of his back, in the place that had been stabbed. She had no idea what to do. Her father had never hurt any one so why would anyone want him dead, she couldn't understand it. She and her father lived in a small cottage in the middle of nowhere, there was no reception and no way she could stay alive without her dead father.
Her father never talked about her mother but once a year at Christmas they went to Aunt Sybil's place but it was a 2 day journey on a horse and their horse had recently died, so riding on a horse was out of the picture. Kat knew no one else so she made up her mind and she was going to go visit Aunt Sybil. Kat knew the route well but she didn't think she could make it with little food and water, but she had to try.
