It was exactly a week before my 21st birthday party. I was picking up some last things that I needed for the party, and there he was. I had not seen him since we were 16. He looked so different.
"Liam?" I said surprised to see him.
"OH MY GOD! Jaydaa, is that you?" He said, after turning to see who had called his name.
Yeah. I can't believe you're here. It's been so long. How are you?" I asked as our eyes met.
I'm good. Never been better. And yourself?"
"Well, I've seen better days, but I'm better than I used to be." I said hoping he realised that I was talking about our childhood.
"I understand."
We stood in silence for a moment.
"Here. Come to this address tomorrow at 6:00p.m." He said, handing me a folded up piece of paper. "I want to catch up with you... And besides, I have some friends I want you to meet." He added.
"Ok. I'll be there." I replied, excited and screaming on the inside, but quiet and calm on the outside.
When I got home that night, it was hard to sleep. I had saw my very first friend for the first time in 5 years. All the memories rushed back so quickly.
After thinking about all the memories, I finally fell asleep.
When I woke up the next morning, all I could do was think about what to wear. I finally got my best pair of dress pants, my favorite dressy shirt, and my neon high heels.
I got ready, and before I knew it, it was already 5:00p.m. I made some last few adjustments to my hair and makeup, then I was on my way.
When I walked in, all I could see was figures of people dancing, and bright, color, flashing lights everywhere. I walked on in. Him and a few of his friends came to greet me. One of which, really cought my eye. He was so beautiful. His eyes were green. They sparkled like diamonds in the sun. His teeth were perfectly straight, and his curls lay perfectly acrossed his forehead. His smile was so perfect. Ihad never seen one so beautiful and breath taking before.
"Hello. I'm Harry. It's nice to meet you." The beautiful boy said.
"Nice to meet you too." I paused for a second, not realising that I had stopped talking and was staring at him so intently. "Jaydaa. Most peole call me Jay."
We were left alone talking, while the others went to go sit back down. We talked for awhile, then joined the others. I could tell he was trying to flirt. I couldn't stop looking at him, but I knew he was enjoying the attention. I cought him staring at me a few times, but when he realised I had cought him, he would just smile. I felt amazing.
He had had a few drinks, so I offered to drive him home. Without thinking, I offered to stay with him until he fell asleep. We talked for a few hours, but he could see that I was about to fall asleep, so he offered for me to stay the night, and I had the choice of where I wanted to sleep. I didnt care, so he told me to sleep in the bed, and he'd sleep on the couch.
