Chapter Two

Blake's P.O.V

I hugged her tight because I have missed my best friend. I wanted to reach out to her again, but college kept me so busy. "Nicole, I am sorry we lost touch. College is one crazy place."

"Don't worry about it. I got over it..." I stared at her for a while, in fact, I'm pretty sure I creeped her out.

"Am I creeping you out?" I laughed. She didn't even say anything back, just laughed with me.

We eventually released each other from our hug and she backed away. "To answer your question, you were not creeping me out, in fact, it was kinda cute." She giggled out. "I have to go now, or my parents will start to worry. I'll see you tonight. Bye Teresa! It was nice seeing you again! Bye Blake, see you tonight." I saw her face turn a light shade of pink.

"Bye sweetie!" My mom yelled.

I walked into my mom's kitchen. "She's back mom. After four years, she has returned, and it feels like how it was when we were younger. A little awkward, but it's nice to have her back." I couldn't help but smile.

"Oh honey, I'm happy for you two. And I know your father would be to. But you better be careful." My mom's last five words confused me.

"Why?" I looked at her with confusion on my face.

"You have a new girlfriend. You have moved on, but I'm not entirely sure that Nicole has." My mom told me.

"I highly doubt it mom. It's been four years, I'm sure she has moved on to." Nicole couldn't still like me. No way. I really hope not. I just want my best friend back... And I really want Sarah and Nicole to be friends.

"What are you thinking about honey?" My mom asked.

"About Sarah. She's gonna come tonight. I want her and Nicole to be friends." I smiled just thinking about my girlfriend and my best friend being friends. My mom came over to me and hugged me tight, of course I hugged back, maybe even tighter. "I'm going to go back to my place and get ready. Bye mom, love ya." I pecked her cheek and left.

As I drove home, I couldn't help but think about whether or not Nicole has moved on. I don't want to hurt her, but I love Sarah with everything I have. I arrived at my house and climbed out of my Blue 2011 Avalanche. I walked up to my door and unlocked it, shutting it behind me as I entered. I pulled out my cell phone and dialed Sarah's number.

"Hey baby." I could hear the smile in her voice, which automatically made me smile.

"Dress nice tonight babe." I said into the phone.

"Uh, why? Are we going somewhere?" Sarah replied.

"Yes. Nicole, my childhood best friend has moved back to town and I want you to meet her and her to meet you." I smiled, even though Sarah couldn't see it.

"Nicole? I'm not sure I remember her name." She said back. I knew she wouldn't. In all honesty, I haven't talked much about Nicole since she left.

"I've mentioned her a few times. I'll give the whole story when you come over." I replied.

"I guess you'll give it to me now, I'm here." She replied before hanging up and walking through the front door. I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her shoulders, hugging her tight and giving her a peck on the lips.

"Hey beautiful." I whispered into her ear and she giggled in response.

"Hey. So, tell me about Nicole." She smiled. I told her the whole story about Nicole and I within 45 minutes and reassured her that we are in fact just friends now. We were kids back then. We didn't know anything about love or what we wanted.

"She sounds like a nice girl, but I swear, if she makes a move on you, I'll claw her eyes out. Consider that a promise." Sarah replied, completely serious. Sarah's jealousy is cute, but it is also scary. Doesn't matter, I would never cheat on her.
