How could she be so stupid?
How could she forget?
She should of known her love for Corey was forbidden.
Why would she think Jeramy forgot about her?
He didn't forget. He watched her every single time she was with Corey. Every word, every kiss, he saw.
Jeramy called her, telling her to go to his house and...
She obeyed.
She went to his house, telling Corey she was going to a friends house.
She hated lying to him but...Corey didn't deserve to see what was going to happen to her.
Not now, not ever.
She went to his house, and he beat her, but not just a few kicks here and there.
No, much more.
He gave her a real punishment.
He beat her and he cut her.
He sliced through her skin with a knife.
She was glad Corey wasn't here to see this.
But...
He was.
He had followed her.
He grew suspicious.
He knew Iris didn't have any other friends besides himself.
So he followed her.
Jeramy, was about to kill her.
But Corey slammed through the opened door, running toward Iris.
Jeramy missed her heart, and stabbed her in the shoulder.
Three other men named Mick, Chris, and Shawn followed, storming through the door, prying Jeramy off her.
Corey was shocked. Tears were in his eyes when he picked up Iris.
She wasn't dead, but she was barely breathing.
Soon, the police and ambulance arrived.
They scurried to get Iris to the hospital.
The police wouldn't let Corey go with her, so he stayed, and turned to Jeramy.
Corey questioned him, punched him, kicked him. He wanted to kill him for hurting Iris.
'How do you know her?' Corey asked between punches.
But Corey felt weak when Jeramy answered.
'I'm her boyfriend.' Jeramy replied.
Corey froze. He couldn't beleive it.
He just...couldn't.
He trusted her, loved her.
And she lied.
Was he just the other man to her? Was Jeramy the other man?
But that didn't matter.
Corey's nostrils flared as he felt tears roll down his cheeks.
Corey let go of Jeramy, and drove to the hospital. Leaving his friends Chris, Mick, and Shawn behind.
They wouldn't let Corey in to see her, so he waited six hours before they let him in.
To his surprise, Iris was awake.
Her eyes filled with tears when he saw him.
"Corey...I'm so sorry." She said quietly. There was regret in her voice.
Corey didn't say anything.
He simply walked up to her and keeled down next to her, just inches away from her face.
He softly traced her jawline with his fingertips. "I gave you my heart Iris." He said softly, but coldly.
Iris put her head down.
"I think I'm going to be sick, and its your fault."
"Corey..." Iris trailed off.
Corey raised his voice, "I haven't slept since I woke up and found my whole life was a lie."
"Corey...I didn't mean to hurt you." She whimpered.
He ignored her and turned away, "This is the end of everything, you are the end of everything!" He spat, turning back towards It is, who was now shaking in fear.
She looked terrified. Was Corey going to hurt her too?
His face softened.
"Iris..." He walked back toward her.
He moved a hand toward her face. But she flinched away.
She didn't want him to see her like this. And she didn't want him to hurt her.
"No no no," Corey said wrapping his arms around Iris's slender waist. "Please don't be afraid of me. I love you, and I always will." He cried softly against her chest.
"I don't want to lose you." He said barely in a whisper.
She nodded softly.
Then she lifted his head up by placing a hand under his chin so they were looking directly into each others eyes before pressing her lips against his.
"I love you too." She said softly after they pulled away.
