I never thought this would happen to me I thought I was invincible. I was young I thought nothing could ever happen to me, all I wanted to do ever since I got my licence was go fast, I guess this is why my friends and family would call me lead foot, they didn't like getting in the car with me, I guess this was why. It was just my normal weekend routine Anthony and I would go out camping he was my best friend, he was always there for me when I needed him not so much any more we hardly ever talk now, I don't blame him though for hating me. My family didn't have much money, you could say we were poor living on the edge, but we all stuck together when ever one of us needed a shoulder to cry on ,someone to talk to nothing could brake our bond.
It was a long weekend and just like any other weekend we would go out camping at our favourite spot, this time it was different. Anthony had his own car well it was his Mum brand new V8 Holden, and I just had my old Ute that could hardly get over 95km. We both drove out there in our separate cars when we Finally arrived I got out of the car and begged Anthony if I could have a drive he said no but I was not giving up, I was so determine to get a drive finally he gave in. I got in the car not thinking about anything but going fast, I didn't even put my seat belt on. I shut the door put my foot flat do the ground with in seconds I was going 160, my mind was blank I just kept pushing the pedal. The road came to a slight bend, I took my foot off the pedal, and just before I got time to put my foot on the brake, the back wheels were sliding out of conrol. I tried to get control again but it was to late. My mind went blank i was so scared, I felt tear drop on the side of my cheek, I thought I was going to die. I closed my eyes I saw my family flash past, so I opened my eyes again to see a large poll in front of me. I thought I was going to hit, but then all of the sudden the air felt like it was flying, i close my eyes again to find in was upside down, the car was rolling, i didn't know what to do but close my eyes. The car was then soon up the right side, I was so scared, I closed my eyes again, then there was loud noises of branches hitting the side of the car, I was going through the scrub, from the impact of every thing hitting the car the horn started to go mad, just adding on to the noise it was horrifying, I never want to hear anything like that again. The car finally came to a stop, I thought I was dead, I looked around to see nothing but trees. I got out of the car and fell straight to the ground from my legs being so shaky, I sat on the floor until I had clammed down. I got up ran to the road to see him standing there straing at me I didn't know what to do, I fell to the ground again crying, he just stood there. I was expecting him to hit me, but he grabbed me held me tight and said " Its OK you are still alive . Still in shock we pushed the car back up to the road, we pulled the branches out of the wheels. I was very messed up i begged him to take it to the car wash thinking every thing was going to be ok, he was very confused what to do, but he gave in so we drove down to the local car wash. I had begged him not to tell any one, but when we got there standing there waiting was both his and my parents. I was so scared I didn't know what to do mum ran up to me, I thought she was going to kill me, I freaked out I stared to pull my hair out screaming she just grabbed me wrapped her arms around me.
