"Kendall? Kendall are you there?"

No response.

All Cara could see was darkness. The bag, or whatever it was, pulled over her head was slightly suffocating her. She whipped her head from left to right in attempts to take it off but to no avail. She sat still and realized her wrists were bound behind her with rope. Her legs were spread out in front of her.

And that's when she realized. She was moving.

Well, she was in something that was moving. Whatever she was in would occasionally bump around or the movement would slow down. She felt along the floor with her fingers and came to the conclusion she was in the back of a truck, or something similar at least.

Panic slowly started creeping inside her and she hissed again, "Kendall!"

Cara heard some movement to her right and instinctively whipped her head in that direction.

"..Kenny?"

Groggily, "Care.. are you okay?"

Cara sat up so straight her head hit something metal somewhere above her. She silently cursed.

"I'm here, Kendall. What is going on?!"

"I don't know. But this fucker's gonna pay." Kendall growled. Cara heard her shifting around, then a string of curses.

"Okay wait, back up. You need to start talking NOW. I didn't sign up for this shit."

Kendall sighed exasperatedly. "Calm down!" She got quiet. "Listen."

Cara squinted in the darkness and cocked her head. Somewhere to her far right she heard voices drifting in and out. She recognized one of them as the man who led them to Cassio. Cassio!

"Okay, Jenner, I'm scared shitless right now. Who is this man and how does he know you?" she whispered.

Kendall hesitated. "It's really complicated. We don't have time for it right now."

If Kendall could see Cara's expression right now, she would see how her eyes, full of angry, green fire, were piercing her.

"Are you out of your fucking mind?!" Cara whispered almost too loudly. "This is your fault and you can't at least tell me what kind of dark shit you got yourself into?"

"You're right, you're right! But trust me, Care, I honest to God can't tell you this right now. I need to be able to tell you when I can look at your face."

Cara was about to ask what the hell does that mean when the truck suddenly jerked to a stop. Her heart began palpitating uncontrollably and her throat began to tighten as if a boa constrictor had found her neck as prey.

Kendall had gotten silent, too. Cara wished she knew how close Kendall was so she could scoot over but her fear left her paralyzed.

Suddenly, muffled voices came from her left and she began to hear metal scraping. She figured that was probably where the back door of the truck was.

Some more metal groaning and then she felt a rush of cool breeze graze her skin. She suddenly realized she didn't have her heels, nor her purse, and wondered how they had gotten lost along the way. Goosebumps raised up her arm and down her legs; her skin-tight black dress wasn't made for being kidnapped in the back of trucks.
