2. alpha (wip)

"We're lost"  Came the harsh words from Ash's mouth, making Śeek shudder. "We're not lost..w-we're just..off course" He mumbles, looking around in worry. Ko treks around the forest, her large form easily knocking through trees and bushes, causing an uproar from multiple unhappy animals. Soon the dragon is gone, lost in the search for her baby, but Śeek doesn't worry. Ko was his main Aliki, and they had a strong bond, so she was easier to call. Iko on the other hand had been tamed for a lesser time, the bond between her and her tamer weak and not fully trustful. Śeek sat on the ground against an ancient tree, Ash beside him. "Maybe it's not all bad...We could explore?" The deer boy offered, giving an innocent smile. "Alright.." Śeek sighed, standing again and taking Ash's hand in his own. They walked together just like that, hand in hand, their shoulders brushing together gently and comfortingly.
The forest was actually quite beautiful, all the plants a luscious shade of green, wind blowing softly through the trees. It wasn't really hot, due to the bushy canopy of leaves they had spiraled down through (which caused quite a rip in the peace of said canopy, leaving a large, gaping hole). The two boys had eventually found a short dirt path, finding also that it wound through the entire length of the walkable forest. Finally they came to a halt to rest, reaching a clearing where a huge, completely transparent stream lay. The sun reflected off of it lazily, shining against the trees and the boys' eyes, making them squint. They sat in the grass, not caring at all about the multiple twigs jabbing through their clothes, admiring the view with wide eyes. "It's really nice here" Ash said absentmindedly, his fluffy ears perked towards all of the sounds in the lively forest. Suddenly a roar cut through the whole forest, disrupting the peace. Śeek and Ash both leapt up from their relaxation, Śeek turning to the other, wide-eyed, and darting off.
