We were all sitting around the campfire. We've been here for 5 hours, and an hour ago we started playing truth or dare. Rachel just got done making out with her ex boyfriend, Peter. They have a heathy friendship now.
"Jordan, truth or dare." She asked.
"Truth," I only take dares from guys, I don't know why but I like that their dares are more dirty.
"Well then...what is your favorite memory?" A million of them came rushing to mind. Yet I knew exactly which one I wanted to tell.
"It was a Tuesday night at 3am. Amy and I had just started dating. So anyway, she call me at 3 in the morning. "Can you sing for me, baby?" She asks. My voice wasn't the strongest so I hung up. She did this every night at the same time for the next two weeks, so eventually I sang Trouble, by Never Shout Never. I would have picked a better song if I knew it was going to be played at her funeral later that month." I took a deep breath, remembering her death was still hard for the group and me, because we've been friends since first grade. "When I was done, I could here her sobbing on the other line. Ever since then I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. Anyway, Sammy truth or dare?"
"Dare," she sang
"I dare you to play confess or stress." Confess or stress was a game I made up. Rules are the person to your left gives you a simple task to do in under 30 seconds. When you are done, the rest of the group decides how well you did. If majority or even thinks you did a good job, you don't have to tell a secret. But if majority thinks you did poorly you do have to tell a secret.
"Do the macerana" Piper pitched in.
"Easy peasy, pumpkin peasy, pumpkin pie, motherfucker." One she was done she sat down and said "k piper your turn"
"Dare, but nothing I can do can top that."
Sam thought for a while before screaming "LICK MY FOOT" And Piper did, there was only one thing she would never do, which is cause someone harm. No joke, she once kissed a homeless dude.
It was Tarks turn but he was spaced out, had been since my story. Amy and Tark were twins, it was extra hard on him. "Well Adam looks like it's your turn." We don't mind that he spaces out but we just wish he could be more mental present, like he used to be.
"Sure thing, truth," Adam always picks dare so we were all shocked.
