Hook P.OV

I followed Emma's bright yellow bug to a ginormous castle that Emma would most probably call, a mansion. She and the man exchanged a few words and Emma helped him up the stairs and into the establishment. Once the door slammed shut, I bolted from  David's truck and behind the bushes and ran up to the door. Locked. "Bloody hell..." I muttered to myself and hacked at the lock with my hook. After a couple tries, the door swung open, letting me inside.

I kept my back to the wall and strained my ears to listen to anything, still sliding along it. There was something oddly eerie about the place, everything looked too..... Pristine. I tiptoed past a room but froze in my tracks when I heard quiet sobbing inside. "Emma?" I think. I slowly turn the knob and it reveals Mary Margaret tied up to a chair with a gag in her mouth. I rush up to her and take the gag out of her mouth and untie her hands with a bit of difficulty. (only one hand.) "David's waiting outside with his car, hurry." I tell her sternly once she's free of the restraints. She nods and flees from the room like a mouse.

I push foreword, back against the wall again, and tune into their conversation.
"What's his name?"
"Spot." Emma replies.
"Cute." He says.
"Well," she starts, turning her attention back to the Map that lay before her.
It was hard to restrain myself from barging in and getting her now but I knew that I had to wait for the right time. If only I could tell her that he put something in the tea....
"Route 6 runs the boundary of the forest so,"
She takes a sip of her spiked tea.
"If I just follow that I should.....be able to..." She trails off.
I see her eyes start to droop and I see her lean into the table for support.
"Something wrong?" he asks her with curiosity, not even with a sliver of concern.
"Just um... Feeling a little...." She says, slurring her words.
"Oh, here, let me help you." He interjects, putting his grubby, wretched monstrosities he'd call 'hands' on her waist as she falls back into him.
"Dizzy...." She finishes breathlessly.
"Alright, that's it."  I declare in my head. Just when I'm about about to step out, I stop myself. Hook, don't. Be reckless on your own time but not when Emma can be in danger

I regain my focus and keep watching silently behind the wall.
"Let's just lay you down right here," He says and sets her down on the couch.
"I'll give you some air." He tells her and begins to walk out of the room. I flatten myself against the wall, hoping he doesn't turn this way when he exits.
"You're limp." Emma states, her words dripping with drowsiness. Even thought I can't see her anymore, I can tell she's fighting to stay awake immensely.
"Oh," he replies casually, "that."  I hear his footsteps grow quieter, meaning he'd walked away from the doorway. I peek my head back out cautiously and peer in. He strolls up to where Emma is lying and looks straight down at her. "I guess you caught me." He tells her with evil in his words, "Who are you?" Emma asks and collapses onto the sofa. She was trying so hard to stay awake she didn't have enough energy to even add expression to her voice. That was my cue.

The man stared at her with a sinister smile but his smile quickly faded when I charged at him and body checked him straight out a window. I stepped back from the window frame and gawked at what I'd just done. I peered over the window and discovered he'd disappeared into the night. I guess I'll find him another day. I bolt over to Emma. "Swan?" I ask her cautiously, knowing she won't respond. I focus my attention to the teacup she'd been drinking out of and pick it up. I study it in my hand, turning it over. I put it up to my face and smell it. Yep, just as I'd thought. I used the same sleeping serum on my fair share of enemies back in the other realms in my sailing days.

My chain of thoughts are broken when I see Emma shiver in the corner of my eye. I turn my focus back to her and see her get goosebumps, that man, which I assume was The Mad Hatter, had kept the place fairly nippy. I look around the room until I spot a dark red blanket, a similar colour to Emma's red leather jacket. I reach over and pull it off the other couch, I carefully unfold it and lay it over Emma's shivering body. She stops shaking and seems more at peace. I just knew she wouldn't appreciate me carrying her out or even touching her for that matter so I start up the fireplace and pull a chair up. I rest my head on my hand and close my eyes. I awake from a slumber I hadn't even known I was in when I hear Emma groan behind me. I stand up and come over the couch, she wasn't fully awake but she needed to get out of here anyways, for all we know,  The Hatter could have a first mate to help him out with his ruse. "Darling, you need to get up. Please Emma, we have to hurry." I shake her shoulders lightly and she opens her eyes "Killian? You're working for him?" She asks me.
"Look love, I know you're sleepy but I'm rescuing you." I tell her.
She blinks her eyes in slow motion from exhaustion as she processes what I had said.
"C'mon." I tell her and pull her up by her arm.
She freezes and looks down at the blanket and back at me with a side glare but doesn't say anything so I pretend I didn't notice her. She stands up and but rocks from side-to-side as wobbly as a fairly windy day on The Jolly Roger. I reach for her shoulder to help steady her but she hold one hand up to stop me. "I'm fine just.... Go." she gestures to the door. I eye her suspiciously and slowly turn around and start for the exit.

After only two steps, I hear crashing and shuffling behind me and I turn around only to have Emma fall onto me. My arms wrap around her instinctively. Where I learned the instinct? I have no clue. She slowly lifts her head up from my chest and looks up at me with her mesmerizing bright green eyes, still blinking in slow motion. We lock onto each others gaze for who cares how long until she eventually breaks out the trance and lightly pushes off me, my arms falling to my sides. "The...Carpet." She says quietly, pointing to the rug on the floor.
"Was it the rugs fault for falling or do you need my help?" I ask her earnestly.
She just nods and I lift her arm up and drape it over my shoulders.

I can tell she's still very sleepy from the drugs when she walks. Her legs crossing over one another, leaning almost all of her weight on me. At least she was using my help. On our way out she tripped and her legs gave out, I quickly stood taller and lifted her back up again. "Wait," she tells me and I stop. "Mary Margaret..." She breathes. "Don't worry, your fathe- friend was found already." I correct. Normally, she'd see right through me but the sleep was messing with her superpower, weighing it down immensely. "Where's David? The car?" She asks, looking around.
"Not sure, I told Mary Margaret to go with David but I thought he'd wait for us."
" I guess true love really clouds judgement huh?" She says with a small chuckle.
"Maybe so.." I say to myself more than her. We start down the stairs and little-by-little, her weight on me lessens until she's standing fully upright but still keeps her arm around my shoulder, I didn't quite know what to make of that, maybe she kept it there as a precaution or maybe she forgot it was there.... To me, those were the only possible explanations, nothing more than a simple gesture. We walk in silence for a few minutes, "Thanks." She says, her voice breaking a little from lack of usage. She clears it, "for coming and..... Getting me." She finishes, carefully choosing her words. "You know, just because you're the savior, it doesn't mean you can't be saved." I tell her, smirking.
"You've been spending too much time with Henry, haven't you? He thinks you're Captain Hook." She tells me with a small smile.
"Well, perms and mustaches are most certainly my thing, don't you think?" I say and we both laugh. I think I'm falling for this girl, but is the feeling mutual?
"Hook?" She asks me.
"Yes love?"
"Are you free at grannies tomorrow?"
