6 || Apologies

I sit up and rub my eyes from my sleep. I check the time on my clock hanging next to the door - 7am, that's the longest sleep I've ever gotten so far.

I change into my other muscle tee, blue skater skirt and blue vans, before putting my headphones in and start to dance along to You'll Never Know and Too Close.

This has become an everyday routine now, at some point during the day I'll be dancing around in my room.

I continue to dance and dance until I feel a tap on my shoulder, I turn around and see Ange.

"Hey Mel" she greets me.

"Oh, hey Ange" I smile.

"Can I talk to you about something?"

"Umm sure" I answer, curiously.

I sit down on my bed and take my headphones out.

"Mel, I want to apologise for spending a lot of time with Ari, and for not spending a lot of time with you. With all of this adoption stuff going on I guess I forgot about spending time with you, I'm really sorry. As for spending time with Ariana, I really love Ariana like you do and I wanted to spend some time with her. I really didn't mean to make you feel left out. Ariana also told me she was going to spend a couple of days with me to get to know me, and then spend a couple of days with you. I'm guessing she didn't tell you. I just feel really bad about all of this and wanted to apologise." She tells me, anxiously waiting for a reply.

"You don't have to apologise Ange, it wasn't your fault. Just, I felt left out because Ari was spending so much time with you and it felt like she was picking favourites. I missed the days where we would go to an Ariana Grande signing, just the two of us and we were so close. I really don't want lose you as a friend Ange."

"I know, I was hoping we could spend today together, like old times?"

I smile at her, and hug her.

"I'd like that, a lot"

"Yay! Would you maybe want to go out to the mall or something today?" She asks me.

"Sure, we should probably ask Ari and Jai though."

We head downstairs to get breakfast. I have a piece of toast while Ange has a muesli bar, I guess she woke up early again and ate already. After, we head into the living room and see Ari and Jai all cuddled up, I whisper to Ange to snap a quick photo and she does just before they notice us.

"Hey guys." We say in unison.

"Hey girls!" They say back.

"Sooo, would Mel and I be able to go to the mall a bit today to hang out?"

"Yeah of course! Just make sure you're back by 12:00 'cause I need to take you to the hospital at 12:30" Ariana tells us, mainly Ange though.

"Wait, Ange. Why are you going to the hospital?" I ask her curiously. Looking at her with concern.

"Ummm... I might be getting a surgery to give me the ability to walk.." She tells me nervously.

I look at her shocked but it instantly turns into a big smile.

"That's awesome! You might actually have the ability to walk!" I exclaim happily.

"Well we're gonna have to confirm that with the doctor when we get there. But, hopefully Angela will be able to walk in a few months!" Ariana smiles.

I give Ange a quick hug before we head to the car and slide into the backseat. We pop our headphones in (music life guys, c'mon) and let our minds wonder.
