I jumped out of my past. I placed my violin in its custom case. Time has passed and the moon was now in full glow.

My stomach grumbled, reminding me that I still needed to eat. I groaned and slowly got up. This was the most repulsive time of the night for me. The Pack Dinner.

Treading slowly to the dining hall I was stunned to see new faces amongst the group.

"Hey Rae, these are some new pack members we took in. " Kamelle said as sat down next to her.

There was a total of three of them. One boy and two girls.

"Hey, my name is Zach." The boy introduced himself. " And these two are Danny and Jo."

I nodded and looked over all three of them. I took notice of Zach's rusty hair, his voice deep. As for the girls they looked very similar. Other than the fact that one was blonde and the other a brunette.

"Are you two sisters?" I asked the girls.

Danny answered. "No were cousins. We get that question a lot."

I nodded again and looked across the table. The Alpha wasn't here. We couldn't eat yet.

"I am happy you could join us." I said

I wasn't happy at all! As if hanging around the pack wasn't stressing enough! Now I had three more pains to deal with.

"We're happy to be here." Zach said while gazing at me. He never stopped staring at me after the introductions.

What was with the awkward staring?

I smiled awkwardly and looked down at my empty plate.

When the heck would the Alpha get here?

My question was answered when the well aged man entered. He looked about late 40s to early 50s. His black hair was starting to shine through with white streaks. The sparkle in his dull brown eyes would never sign him off as a murderer that I knew he was. His smile lines around his eyes and mouth made him look like friendly a old man that was on the edge of retiring. The only thing that showed he was a warrior was the one long vertical slash from above his right eye down to his cheek, clouding over his right eye.

"Hello. I am Alpha Deavalo. Welcome  to our pack. On Tuesday the 12th of May, we will officially add you to our pack through the blooding ritual."

What. Today was the 22th of April. The 12th of May was three weeks away! Why wait that long?

"Until then we shall let you get to know the other pack members. Please lets start the feast with cheers for the new pack members." He lifted up a glass of red wine and took a sip. The rest of the pack did so too. I lifted the cup to my lips but didn't let the liquid touch my lips.

Looking over to the new pack members, I noticed that Zach was still looking over at me.

A sudden feeling of nausea enveloped over me.

"Hey Kamelle." I whispered. "I am not feeling so well I think I'm going to head up early." I said

"What? You barely ate anything! Maybe you should eat some more mash potatoes. They might help." She suggested.

I quickly countered with " No, I wasn't that hungry anyway. I think I just need some sleep." I got up slowly and silently made my escape. Or so I thought.

"Raven are you done already?" Alpha Deavalo said. " Maybe you can show the way to the guest rooms to Zach. He seems to be done also." I could tell that that was supposed to be a command.

Damn it! I couldn't not bring him now could I?

"Yes Alpha Deavalo. I'll be happy to show him the way." I said pleasantly.

Oh I can't wait until the day comes so I can kill you.

I looked over at Zach and waited for him to get up before slowly striding to the door leading to the hall. I barely waited for him to get close to the door before I was off again. Unfortunately for me he had a long stride. He caught up very quickly.

"You know if I didn't know better I would say you were trying to get away from me." Zach said from behind me.

"I was trying to do no such thing." I said. Not turning to look at him.

"Hey I'm sorry if I did something wrong. It honestly feels like your trying to run from me though, Hey!" He called as my even stride became more of a light jog.

I was hoping he would give up on trying to keep up with me. Like everything seemed to be lately, he unfortunately caught up with me.

"Hey!" He grabbed my shoulder. I had to restrain myself from flipping him over my shoulder. " If you don't like me that is perfectly fine. Well not really, but that isn't the point! I'm pretty sure the Alpha told you to show me the way. So how bout you do that and I'll leave you alone."

"That monster is not my Alpha!" I hissed before I could put up a verbal block.

Shit shit shit shit shit! Oh why did I just say that?

"What?" Zach said while backing up a bit.

"I said nothing." I sneered and started my way to the guest rooms slower this time.

"Yes you did. I am happy to hear what you said."

"What." I stopped walking. "What did you just say?"

"You heard me. The time has come Raven. Get ready." He said.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I'm part of the Slayer Society same as you. Everything will happen at the 10th of May." He looked at me in the eyes. I didn't notice how deep of a blue they were before. Almost black. Like mine. What a coincidence. "Its almost time, Rae. Get ready." He whispered before smiling and saying. "You gonna show the way are not."

I stayed awake all night after the guy left. How was I supposed to go to sleep with such a mysterious comment swimming through my head?

When morning came a nurse walked in with a tray of food. I picked at the stale pancakes. I only ended up eating the mixed fruit.

What was I supposed to do now. My mommy was gone. I never met my daddy before. Mommy said he passed away before I was born. Mommy and Uncle Chris were the only family I had. Maybe Uncle Chris would get me.

While this was going through my head some one walked into my room. I looked up to see the man from yesterday.

"What are you doing here?" I asked

" When you get released your coming with me." He stated.

"What? Why? I don't know you!" I yelled.

"Have you watched the cassette?" He asked.

"No."

"It will explain everything. I have important business to attend to. Excuse me." He left after getting a call on his phone.

I didn't want to leave with that man. What did my Cassette have anything to do with him.

I looked over to my left and saw my Cassette sitting there. Reaching for it I knew I was going to listen to something I wouldn't like.
