The Distant Scarlet Village

Chappy 1

I get to go to Cross Academy,yay. I sarcastically think. The orphanage director poked her head inside the room. "Haruka are you ready to go?" She annoyingly asked. Instead of verbally answering I nod and drag my suitcase downstairs to the door. Before you ask,yes I am an orphan. My parents didn't willingly give me up. How did I get here? That may take some time to tell you.

*flashback*
"Hey mom look at this!" My seven year old self said as I ran towards my mother,frog in hand." Do all frogs have warts?!" I asked interested. "Most do." My mother stated in a calm state. Everything seemed normal at the time,but as I look back with each passing day,the sines were all there. Mother and father became strict and cautious. One night a loud crash was heard from the kitchen. Mother burst through my door and pushed me inside my closet. "Haruka stay in here and don't come out for anyone." She handed me a sky blue box. "We were going to give this to you for your birthday but it seems we won't get the chance." She says as calm as she can. "B-But mom what is going on?!" I say alarmed. "Don't worry and remember not to come out." She says while giving me one last hug before closing the door until a little crack was left. As she turns around someone unfamiliar walks in the room. When their eyes land on my mother a sadistic smile creeps its way onto his lips. His eyes become crimson red. His fangs are showing. "Where is the girl?" He says in an almost inhuman voice. "I have no clue who you may be referring to." My mother says. Sharp nails allow him to cut my mothers stomach open. He then licks his blood splattered hand. I was so scared. My father came into the room and shot the creature. "Filthy vampire." My father says in a low voice. Just as fast as he killed the so called vampire he shoots his head. All I could do was cry in the corner. After a few seconds I open the box to see earrings matching the color of the box and a purple pendant. The last thing I saw was my mother and fathers corps.

*flashback end*

I walk to the train,bags in hand. Once I show the conductor my ticket they take my luggage and I board the train.

*time-skip to school*

I walk up the steps to the chairmans office and open the door. I cautiously step inside. Once I close the door, I see three people inside the room. The one sitting at the desk is obviously must be the chairman. Who are the other two people though. I think to myself. As I look at the other two people, the one with silver hair and I lock eyes. We just stand there for a few minutes. "Miss Himura, it's nice to meet you." The chairman says in a child-like voice. " yeah..." I say unsure of how to answer. "Oh! Let me introduce you to the disciplinary committee! Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryu!" He says excitedly. "Hello,sorry about him he's always like this. I am Yuki by the way." She said more calm than the chairman. "This is Zero." She said while pointing to the silver haired boy from before. "Hi." He mumbled. I slowly nod while looking into his silver eyes. "Yuki will be showing you to your dorm room and around the school. Also,remember I am her father." He says almost forcefully. I sweat drop. "Okay let's go erm...what's your name again?" She asks while scratching her face. "Haruka." I say with no emotion. "Okay Haruka let's go!" She says while walking out of the room. I glance back at Zero then follow Yuki out of the room.
