Im not hiding, I'm just not ready yet
Don't worry, what lies within will soon come forth into your world
But for now I lay dormant and free from earthly qualms
May I stay forever so, if left without the living warmth of another
Nurture and care patiently for my abode, and you shall witness the brilliance of life
As the time draws near, the slightest twitch you may notice.
All of life stands still, and silence hovers for just a moment, as that first audible crack spreads across the surface.
Further directionless lines scatter down the sides
And my beak emerges first into the world
That earthly air of the earthly planet, I may now enjoy
So desperate am I now, I crack through the shell and raise my lightly feathered head to the sky
Now ready to leave my egg which served me so well
And embrace the world of wide life, and learn to reach the skies
