Julia was the happiest she had ever been
She was draped in the finest white gown, with ruffles, frills, beading and lace. The neckline dipped just a little, a sweetheart neckline with a ribbon for straps. She was a beautiful, blushing bride, her curly black hair and Irish complexion setting off the dress perfectly. At 23 years old, she was in a possible wedding dress, and ready to model for her bridesmaids, who were sitting outside the dressing room. She sighed as the attendant zipped up the back of her dress, thinking of her handsome fiancee, Joshua. His blonde hair and sparkling green eyes were his most superficial features, which kept Julia interested. Underneath his pretty face, he had an unbeatable wit.
She stepped out into the bright lights of the show room, greeted by a chorus of "oohs" from the girls seated on the bench. Caren, Julia's maid of honor, walked up and placed a tiara that held the veil on her curls. The girls applauded, although it might be just because they had been there for six hours and seen seventeen dresses, all of which looked fantastic on Julia, of course. Years of dieting and exercise, plus good genes, had given Julia a beautiful hourglass figure. Caren, one of her best friends, had always been jealous of this.
"Oh.... Don't I look beautiful? I feel like a princess!" The girls behind her smiled and nodded, robotic clones, clearly tired of the woman begging for compliments.
"This has to be the one! Oh, Josh is going to love it! I can't wait!!" Julia cried. "I'm going to go get changed. Wait for me, ladies." She lifted the hem of her skirt and ran back to the dressing room, calling out for the attendant.
As soon as she was out of earshot, the girls began gossiping. As catty girls went, these five girls took the cake. Caren was two faced, Lily was a jealous girl that had never worked a day in her life, Darby was a liar, Morgan was an upitty, rich, southern belle type, and Tiffany, who was new to the group, but worked hard to be just as cold as the other girls.
"She thinks she's so special, just because she's getting married" Morgan drawled. "I got married and I didn't go paradin' around like no supermodel."
Caren nodded. " She needs to get over herself. Its not like she's any prettier than the rest of us."
"She doesnt deserve a man like Joshua." Lily sneered. All the other ladies snickered in agreement.
"By this point, I'd rather die than be a part of this wedding." Darby murmered.
Suddenly, the four girls heard a voice over the intercom, rough and deep.
"Ask, and you shall recieve."
Then, the lights went out.
