"I'm not like that."

Ally's POV

Beep! Beep! Beep!

I yawn and get out of bed. I'm not usually a morning person, but today's different. School starts today! Yippee! And no, I wasn't being sarcastic. I actually love going to school and studying. But I'm the only person (A/N I love school too XD) who takes notes voluntarily, likes essays, etc. As you can probably guess, they always "stamp" me as school geek. But, today is my first day in Marino High School, since I moved from Ohio to Miami just a few weeks ago. So today's my chance to introduce myself to all just as me. Not a school geek. And I really hope they give me a chance to do it. I always say to everyone that don't judge a book by it's cover, which is true. There is always more in a person, than what you expect.

My mom's voice shook me out of my thoughts.

"Ally, sweetie, are you awake?"

"Yes mom! Let me just get dressed!" I answer my mom before going to my closet and picking a cute outfit on. I chose a simple floral dress with a brown belt over it. After I get dressed I go to downstairs seeing my mom making breakfast and my dad reading newspaper.

"Good morning!" I say cheerfully coming in the kitchen.

"Morning sweetie" my dad says.

"Good morning dad" I say kissing his cheek. I plop down on a chair and my mom puts a plate of  bacon and eggs in front of me. I quickly eat it and get up. The doorbell rings, and my mom goes to open it, while I grab my book bag.

"Ally, Trish is here!" my mom says and I run to the door.

I met Trish over two weeks ago when we move. She lives next door, and we became really great friends soon as we met. So, now we're best friends.

"Hey Trish!" I say to her and hug her tightly.

"Hi Ally! Ready to go?" she asks and I nod.

"Bye mom, bye dad!" I shout to my parents and me and Trish start to walk to school. Trish actually has a car, but the school is so close, that we decided to walk.

On our way to school, Trish tells me about the people and stuff like that.

"Okay, you have to avoid Brittany, Catherine and Rose. They're our school's "queens" as they say. They are so annoying. They think that they're the best people in the whole world.

We call them 'the Mira's' but really, they're bitches. Britt is their leader, and Cath and Rose are her minions" Trish explains to me. I start to imagine, that they don't care about anything else, except fashion, and that they always have a boyfriend. So they don't care who they date, just the fact that they date somebody.

"Okay good to know. Anybody else?" I ask.

"Ömm... Austin Moon and Dez Wade." She says.

"Why do I have to avoid them?" I ask calmly.

"Well... There's actually nothing wrong about them. There are just so many rumors, that it's just best if you stay away from drama." Trish tells me.

"Well what are these rumors?" I ask getting interested.

"Austin and Dez are pretty popular. They always have been. It's probably cause Austin is so good looking and Dez is his best friend. Anyway, in freshman year Austin always was so confident. He was really cool and had this 'swag'. He had lots of friends - boys and girls. Every girl in school wanted to be his girlfriend. He loved music. He performed a lot, he loved singing and dancing, and was really talented in those. Until one day it all changed."

"What happened?" I'm really interested right now.

"Something happened to him. He stopped dancing and singing. He pushed people away - except Dez, of course. Some people say he got raped. Some people say he lost one or both of his parents. I don't know what happened, but something changed him. He got... kind of depressed. Nobody has seen him smile or laugh in ages. And nobody knows why. Dez says - I've been talking to him - that he doesn't know what happened to Austin either, but I have a feeling that he does have a clue. He just doesn't tell it to anybody, maybe because of Austin." Trish tells me.

"Wow..." I breathe out.

"I used to be friends with Dez and Austin, and I really miss the old Austin. But I hope, that something or somebody will bring him back." Trish says, and we drop the converstation just as we walk in the school doors.

I feel bad for this Austin guy. I wish that I could help...
