Once upon a time, there were four friends:  Jane, Lia, Crystal, and Tyler.  The four girls met on Planet Earth, their home, and quickly became best friends.  And though they grew closer and closer, Lia and Jane soon had to leave.  Lia moved to Planet Happy, and Jane to Planet Dumbass.

They all stayed connected, though, through the Inter-Planetary Web.  The IPW allowed them to talk every day, even though they were miles apart.  Jane sometimes wondered if that was the only reason they became so close.

During the summer, the four made plans to go to an event for video-viewers where they could meet their favorite creators.  Months passed, and, though they grew ever closer, Jane began to doubt their friendship.  she tried to get them closer than words on a screen - videos, letters, etc - but each was shot down if Crystal didn't agree.  Looking back now, that should have been the first sign for Jane.

In the months that came before The Event, Jane became lonely again.  Though she still talked to her friends every day, on her planet she was isolated.  Alone.  She tried to tell them...but they didn't really care.  The only thing keeping her going, at the time, was her anticipation for the event.  She was so excited in the weeks before, so uncharacteristically happy, that she sacrificed her and her family's vacation.  She knows now that that was a mistake.

She really should have known that all her work, all her planning, would be for nothing.  Lia wasn't going, and Tyler was under Crystal's thumb.  Crystal only thought for herself; never gave a shit about what anybody else wanted, including Jane.  Jane figured the first day would go the way that it did:  Crystal got to do whatever she wanted, Tyler did a bit for herself, and she got the short end of the stick.  She never would have thought, though, that they would do what they did.

It was supposed to be an all-day thing, two days in a row, though she knew Crystal would want to cut day 1 early, which she was mostly fine with.  She was excited for day 2 and was shattered when Tyler told her they weren't coming.  All her happiness went right down the drain along with her planning, time and money that she spent on this.  She had traveled hours and hours to get there (the event was on Earth), even though she probably should have been studying for midterms, and gas is expensive.  Soon, though, her sadness turned to anger.

She didn't talk to them for two months, which only worsened her anger.  The worst part was not their ignorance, stupidity, or inconsideracy; but, rather, the fact that Crystal and Tyler, two of her supposed "best friends" didn't even notice when she stopped talking.

Lia was on her side, though, and she couldn't really blame Tyler all that much, so her anger was pin-pointed onto Crystal.  All she could think of was how mean Crystal was - she manipulated Tyler and bullied one of Jane's other best friends, Charles, right in front of her.  She was a complete bitch to Charles and dragged sweet Tyler along with her.  Charles was awesome, though.  He served it right back with insults so intelligent that they went right over Crystal's head.  She was infuriated further by the sheer stupidity of Crystal.

And one day, after months of silence, Jane finally exploded.
