I woke up the next morning and looked in the mirror. I looked horrible. My left cheek was purple; I had bags under my eyes. My ribs hurt like hell. This was the usual for me... and it will always be. I put some make up on and went downstairs to find my father kissing another woman. I stood there... I could move. The world froze and everything was falling.

"Ariel, this is my girlfriend. Her name is Kate. She will be your new mother since you're always complaining about that other bitch." He said like it was nothing

"Daddy," I froze I haven't called him that in years. I guess the pain made me say things. Then a wave of anger hit. "HOW DARE YOU CALL MY MOTHER A BITCH? AND EXPECT TO CALL THIS ... THIS WHORE MY MOTHER!" I yelled. My "father" punched me and kicked me in ribs. He pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed me on the side of my ribs. I hissed but didn't scream... I learn that only makes it worse.

"Now leave before I kill you" He bitterly. I put my jumper on and limped of out the house.

I couldn't go to school because I was bleeding badly and the school would ask questions. So I decide to go to the park, where my mother had taken me as a child and told me that under the rocks of the park there was to be a treasure. I never knew what she meant by it but for it meant that i could be with her when ever I came here.

I kept on walking I started to feel dizzy. I knew that I was losing a lot of blood. I went into an ally and sat down holding my wound so it could stop bleeding. My eye lids felt heavy so I decide to close them for a bit. Before I did... I heard footing coming towards me but I was too weak to see how it was..... Maybe this was lights out ... forever...
