Riley
Waking up in the morning isn't pleasant, but when you know you have school it's a whole lot worse. Not to mention the fact that you woke up late.
Hi, my name's Riley Summers, and I really need to get to school. Falling out of bed, I make my way to my wardrobe, pulling out the first things I see. I jump into my clothes which I've now realised, don't match at all, and stumble out of my room. Running down the stairs, I stumble a couple of time, without dying, I stumble into the kitchen where I mentally slap myself. Come on Riley, pull yourself together. Of course you don't have enough time to get breakfast. I sigh. Pulling on my shoes I grab my keys and waltz out the door. Slapping myself again I begin my mad dash to school. I bet I looked like a mad man, well woman. But who can blame me, I've had perfect attendance since I'd been going to school, I wasn't going to give that all up because I forgot to set my alarm.
Once I get to school I groan when I realise that I've forgotten my phone. I curse my forgetfulness before walking to my locker. As I go, I have to avoid the hateful glares I receive as well as the couple pushed against lockers, furiously eating each other's faces. Arriving at my locker I growl. Pushed up against my locker is Ava May making out with bad boy, Jake West. I sigh and tap my foot impatiently seeing if they'll notice my arrival. As suspected, they don't. Well, they had the chance. Placing my bag on the floor, which I thankfully remembered to grab from the bottom of the stairs, and pull my long, wavy, brown locks back into a ponytail. I prepare myself for the worst. Just as Jake grabs onto Ava's butt I grab his shirt and pull him back. He stands there looking at me as if I'd killed a chicken but I put my hand up and push him up against a locker on the other side of the hallway. Jake smirks at me and I smirk back, slapping him in the face. I walk over to Ava and grab her blonde hair and push her into Jake. I smile to myself as I head back over to my locker, opening it and shoving my bag inside. Grabbing what I need I slam the door shut and walk down the hallway towards my first class, English. I sigh in content as I reach the class, just as the bell goes. I smirk at the teacher but he doesn't see, he's too busy telling some random kid off for chewing in his class. Making my way to the back of the room I place my books on the desk before readying myself for hell.
Halfway through the class Jake walked in with his hair a mess and his neck red. He looks towards me and spies the empty seat next to me. I groan as he begins to walk my way. Well, I did prepare for hell but I was hoping I'd been at least good enough to get away from this guy. I guess not. Jake sits down and leans over to whisper in my ear. I shiver as his breath hits my skin.
'Hi.' He murmurs,
I sigh and try to push my desk even further to the wall than it already is. Nope it won't budge. Stupid desk, why couldn't someone save me today. Gah, it's only first period. Groaning I turn to face the teacher and see him rabbiting on about something that I already know. This kids, is what happens when you ask for extra work. Leaning back in my chair I begin to look around the room. There's nothing particularly special about it, just a load of students trying to cram everything they can into their minds. See, it's half way through or Senior year and we're all a bit on edge. It won't be long now before our exams.
The lesson soon passes and I make a quick break for the door. I am not in the mood to talk to Jake and he's been trying to get my attention all lesson. First it was just him tapping my shoulder. But as the lesson progressed, so did his methods of communication. In the end, he had resorted to ripping up his rubber and throwing little bits of it at me.
Checking my timetable I see that I have art and begin to skip with joy towards the lesson. I love art, just the feeling of drawing or painting something makes me smile, it makes me fee free. Arriving at the lesson I bound into the classroom, greeted by a smile from my teacher, I nod at her and take a seat in the front. As pupils start to file in, I begin to wonder why Jake wanted my attention. Maybe he wa trying to get back at me for slapping him. Or maybe because I interrupted his make-out session. No that can't be it, he deserved that slap, they were on my locker. And it's not like I didn't push them back together, I just pulled the apart to begin with. Once everyone has sat down, I take note that Jake is also in this lesson. At least he's not sat with me. No this time, Jake's sat at the back of the room , all alone. What a shame, does the bad boy not have any friends in this class? I can't really say anything. I have no friends at all. Don't get me wrong, I want one, it's just... Nobody wants me.
