Chapter 17 : A day grounded with bff

I woke up with goose bumps, I hold in a moan as Dalis traces his finger all over my back, I turn over and smile at him. I leaned forward and gave him a light peck as I moved away he grabbed my waist and hoisted me so I was sitting on top of him. He wiggled his eyebrows and said "I like this view."

His eyes travelled and his hands followed. We both grin until there was a knock at the door and I quickly got off him as my dad said "Now Dalis I know she is in there fix whatever position you're in now because I'm coming in."

He opened the door, I was sitting crossed legged looking like a deer caught in headlights and Dalis covered his face with his arms.
                             
-Maya's Dad's pov-     
    
"Both of you get dressed and then meet me in the kitchen in 10 minutes."

I started to walk out of the door but paused and said "There isn't much you can do in ten minutes, trust me I know."

I continued my way out and saw Maya rush back to her room. She knows I mean business. Dalis was the first down, he was in casual clothes and his hair was wet, I rolled my eyes at that and he noticed and looked away nervous. He took a seat at the kitchen island and looked at his hands in his lap.

Maya came running down the stairs 2 minutes after Dalis and sat next to him. I internally scoffed and thought she was being brave. I gave her a pointed look and she shrugged her shoulders trying to keep her composure even though I knew and she knew I knew that she was nervous with what was to come.

"Now can someone explain why I found both of you two in the same bed when I specifically said that you have to be in separate rooms?"

Maya spoke up "Dad I'm not a little kid in anymore. I'm not stupid and I'm well aware of the consequences of my actions if there are any."

I stopped my pacing and looked at her.

*Flash back*
Maya was running towards me, she just turned ten and she had the biggest smile on her face. She ran straight into my arms and I lifted her, she was light as a feather. I kissed her on her cheek and she squealed and wiped her cheek saying "Dad that's gross not infront of Alana."

*End of Flash back*

"Dad?" Maya questioned standing up. " Why are you crying?"

"Nothing sweetie, you're just growing up too fast and I can't catch up. I just don't want to lose you." I knew I had a sad smile but I couldn't help it. Maya ran straight to me and hugged me and whispered in my ear "You'll never lose me dad, I'll always be your little girl but you need to let me make decisions for myself and let me deal with might come with them."

"I will sweety but you're still grounded just for the day."

She rolled her eyes at me said "okay then but can Alana stay with me or am I isolated?" Dalis slipped out while we were hugging leaving us to have our moment.

"Only Alana no one else."

"Thanks dad."

We hugged again and I headed out, I had sent Dalis a text saying he should meet me ip at the North beachfront because I needed to talk to him.

-Maya pov-

I was on the phone with Alana and told her everything that happened and she happily agreed to be 'grounded' with me. We decided to have a girl's day in since I'm not allowed to leave the house.

"Maya, what should we start with?" Alana questioned me. I shrugged my shoulders eating the freshly popped popcorn.

"What did we do when were younger that doesn't seem boring now?"

"We talked about boys, read those steamy novels I found at my aunts house..." She chuckled and so did I "Um we did a spa thing, we baked and we tried making dresses but ending up sewing our shirts to the 'dress' which looked terrible by the way."

"Hmm we can do a spa thing, talk about boys and ?"

Alana giggled "I can run to a store and by a ranchy novel?"

"Ha ha you're so funny." She was slightly teasing me because when we first read that novel we dared each other to read it out loud she did and when it came to me I was wayyy to embarrassed to read it out loud mainly because the part I was supposed to read had moaning and sexual language involved, if you don't know what I mean well let me spell it out h-a-r-d-e-r and repeat. so that's why she makes fun of me.

Sorry for not updating been through quite a lot and still am but to those who still wait for this story I appreciate it a lot.
