Secrets Only Spencer Knows

In the dining hall there were only a few students getting snacks and hanging out.

"Okay, what are you getting? I'm going to get some fro-yo. What about you?" Spencer said

"Sure, sounds good."

We got in the short line and waited for the frozen yogurt.

"So...What do you think of the school so far?"

"I'm a little angry at my mom for leaving me here. The place is huge, but just a little...weird I guess."

"Yeah, I feel ya. I picked this school thinking that it was gonna be great but it is kinda weird."

We finally got our frozen yogurt and walked out of the dining hall.

"Okay. Where is this secret spot?" I said

"Oh, it's not far. Just follow me." We walked to the giant field and started walking toward the dorms. Is she really taking me to her room? THAT'S the big secret spot!? We walked into one of the buildings and went into a room on the second floor.

"Tahh Dahh! Here is the secret place...aka my room."

"Really!? I thought you were going to go off campus somewhere. Maybe in the woods or something."

"Well I trust this place. Now do you wanna hear the weirdness or not!?" Spencer said

"Fine. Go ahead."

"Well, the principal is really weird...All of the teachers are weird actually."

I could believe that. Students are weird so teachers must be.

"And not a surprise but the students are really weird too. They only act that why because there scared of the principal."

"This school is just creepy. That hasn't brought the attention of anyone? How the principal smiles like Cheshire Cat and everyone is afraid of her?" I said

"Apparently not. I think the same thing about her. I tried to tell my parents as an attempt to leave this school but they just said I was being dramatic and that I was just nervous about a new school."

"So she's just a 'regular' creepy lady who poses no threat? I don't believe it." I said

Being in public school, in school in general, I have had my fair share of weird/creepy people and she goes way past the scale.

"Well she does have what I call 'tattle tales'. There kinda like spy students and they pretend to be your friend and 'investigate' you to find out what bad things you're doing. Once they do, they report back to the principal and you get in trouble. She rewards the students with 'no homework passes', grade increases, and 'behavior excused' passes. She only uses them when she suspects suspicious attitude from students so just 'pretend to be on her good side'."

She got up from her bed, went to the door and opened it. She looked outside in both directions and then came back in the room. This time she locked the door.

"Why did you do that? Did you hear something?" I asked

"No. I was seeing if anyone was in the hallway. I don't want anyone listening to us. The next thing I have to tell you is really serious." She said

"What happened?" I asked. Maybe I could get some information and get out of this school.

"There used to be a student that went here and there's rumors that she went missing here. There's rumors that the principal is the reason for her missing. There's also rumors that she ran away. Some people believe that there's a teacher responsible for it." She said

If they are just rumors then why make a big deal about it? Maybe she just transferred and didn't tell anyone about it.

"I went to see if anyone was in the hallway because whenever the principal hears students taking about it, she gets really upset"

"I would be too if students were spreading rumors around about me. Especially if they're as serious as murder or kidnapping." I said

"I don't think it's a rumor. The student really exists and there's record of her coming to the school but never graduating. She's not on campus either. I think here name was...Rose?" She said

"Why would people make up rumors like that?" I asked. Maybe Spencer was making sense. I mean, who goes out of the way to make life ruining rumors about someone? And if these rumors are real, then how does Spencer know about the missing girls records?

"I dunno. Maybe because they're not rumors. Maybe this school has some secrets that the principal doesn't want getting out and that's why she acts so weird." She said
