-Night-
True; nervous, very nervous was I..
As I a crept outside and fell,
Victim into the jaws of the dark beast we call night
Darkness! A queer existence
Like a dream, that is not at all a dream:
The bright sun put out like the flame of a candle
And the stars do wander the eternal space.
Stars, though bright to the eye
They possess a dark force
Not clear in our minds but fact to the night
A power beyond comprehension, not to be spoken
The planets, that hold exotic life not known to man
New things not yet explored
Meteors, bringing news of far off life
Plummeting to rest on earth after long travels through aimless loneliness
Space, never ending darkness
Never to be understood
